I have thought several times this week "I really want to sit down and play Ring Racers, it looks insane" and then that thought is immediately followed by the knowledge that I need a full free hour to get my Dr. Robotnik drivers license and I can't make time for that shit.

Best PS2 game to run at 240p if you ask me.

Anyway, I forgot a fun fact about this game until it came up again just yesterday. Final Fantasy IV was nearly 80% complete on the NES before development moved over to the Super Nintendo, which explains a lot. I think if I remembered this or were more aware of it while playing the game, it would've changed how I approached reviewing it.

@Jenny I think Tellah is the only one that actually stays dead, but honestly, the cavalcade of character revivals actually had me thinking he'd show up again all the way up to the credits, which kinda sucked some of the weight out of his death too.
