Almost 3 years ago in E3 2019, I was hyped for this game to come out. I originally planned to get this for my Switch, but when I got my PS5, I changed my mind and got the game for that system instead.
And let me tell you, those almost 3 years were defiantly worth it. A LEGO game that is amazing to play and has the comedy you'd love to see and listen to.

We've waited 5 years for MK8D to get DLC. And was it worth it? Yeah.
I intend to review each wave when they come out. So we're starting with Wave 1.
Tour Paris Prominade & Tokyo Blur - Pretty good tracks, with both having the gimmick of changing the layout of the track in each lap (With Paris, you go backwards on the final lap).
3DS Toad Circuit - The most boring track in Wave 1. It's also the one track people go to for making fun of the BCP.
N64 Choco Mountain - Now this is how you do a fantastic retro track. The music is also fantastic.
Wii Coconut Mall - The fan-loved track finally returns since MK7. But while it's still fantastic, they removed the challenge of the cars at the end of the track.
DS Shroom Ridge - Honestly the track I was hyped for the most. It also has the best music of Wave 1.
GBA Sky Garden - While you might criticise the track because it doesn't look like the original, it's still a great track
Tour Ninja Hideaway - The best original track in Tour and the best track of Wave 1.

Is it good?
Yes.
Is it great?
Yes!
Does it deserve to be GOTY 2021?
YES!!!!!
Rift Apart shows that modern gaming is still amazing. Having adored the PS2 Quadrilogy, didn't like Size Matters and actually enjoyed R&C2016, I was hyped for this game. Showing that we're now exploring a new dimension instead of the same galaxy, and said new galaxy is ruled by an alternate Dr Nefarious who became Emperor.
But the main focus was newcomer, Rivet.
Playing just like Ratchet, you'll actually be playing as her for most of the game (I'm serious, 4 of the 9 planets are played by Ratchet, the other 5 planets and arena challenges are played by Rivet).
But I did have some complaints like:
-Only 9 planets.
-You can't play as Ratchet in Rivet's levels and vise versa (I actually wanted this to be a 100% completion bonus)
-And no skill points.
But other than that, Rift Apart is the best PS5 game ever made.
And I can't wait for a future sequel.
