Extremely cathartic, really good with a nice video, stream, or podcast in the background. Just a really good time sink.
A relatively fine Musou game if you're into the sub-genre.
I was at first mixed on the character redesigns and the roster change up but ended up growing on most of them.
That said, I feel like the characterizations are somewhat weaker in comparison to Samurai Warriors 4. While I enjoy the characters being more realistic and grounded, I do wish some characters did more and had more of a time to shine.
The overall narrative is sort of a mixed bag too. I enjoyed a stronger focus on the Oda clan in comparison to previous entries, but felt as though some facets of the narrative should've been more focused on.
Overall a fine Musou game if you like the genre, worth a try.
