So good, so addictive. But holy fuck it's so difficult as well.
A prime example of a game that's easy to learn but hard to master, you better get the hang of ultimate charges when you reach the extreme battle races. Has great music, graphics and rly nice performance for a PS3 launch title too!
It's a very frustrating game though, which is why I won't give it a perfect rating. The extreme battles require absolute PERFECTION from you and it can make the game feel very annoying and repetitive. Oh well, I reached 90% completion in the grand prix at least so I guess I did have a decent run.

yes you can go perpendicular to the road and drift at 120mph and yes this is one of the best racing games ever
Mirror's Edge

It's true the story and by extension, story presentation, sucks. However, the gameplay and motion of Mirror's Edge is unmatched. The art direction and graphical presentation are some of the most timeless and beautiful designs in all of gaming. Feels like it could have come out today, let alone sixteen years ago.
Look, I like Catalyst. Because sure, while its also not a fantastic game, I just love the world and graphics and flow of everything. All if which I have found to have been improved on over the first game. Story is still ehhhhh, but the presentation is a lot better, although the charm of the 2D cut scenes from the original has grown on me. Idk play if you want idc that much.
All together, Human Revolution is a good game. I believed the narrative to be quite well put together, as well as having a lot of interesting world building. However, and I feel as if I am maybe a little bit of an out-liar here, but this game is not amazing. The mechanics are good for what it is, but sometimes feels confused. I know this game wants you to really control the way everything works out in the end with stealth vs gunning, but I never really felt good doing either; from a narrative standpoint, and more so a gameplay one. Do not get me wrong however, I did have fun, just could not really get into it.
