Good game? I guess. The problem is this feels like something that could have been a free update or $30 DLC instead of a $70 standalone title. The fact that all previous MW guns and cosmetics are in this game is also awful, just a clusterf*ck of laziness when the main selling point is update maps from original MW2. Nostalgia is the ONLY reason I got this and it was just barely enough to get me to buy

Even for the genre, this game has extremely repetitive gameplay that is unsatisfying. I also feel there are clear ways to build each character with very little room for innovation. Got stale super quick and after a week or two has been deleted from my console

Despite the issues with the ending, the entire single player is an incredible experience that I played multiple times through (which is rare for me). Combined with a multiplayer that kept me absolutely hooked, this game has left me with extremely fond memories and even in 2023 is worth a visit

Easily one of the best pokemon games ever created. The light/heavy attack mechanic NEEDS to be in all future games, it is brilliant and aligns with more anime-accurate battles. The game has a greater emphasis on catching and learning about pokemon, with most battles being with random pokemon instead of trainers (which makes sense with the context of the game). It’s a MUST play despite main story being meh, lots of okay side quests, and minimal post-game

One of the best games I’ve ever played. My ONLY issue with this game is the main story line was kind of meh. The lore and backstory as to why the main issue was occurring was interesting, but the main villain left a lot to be desired. The side stories with a student from each house were excellent. The combat and gameplay loop was incredible.

2014

I’ve been playing this game since 2014. Depending on what the devs at hirez want to buff/nerf, the game can be good or bad. However, more often than not you can hop in with some friends and have a good time. Very diverse cast of characters with awesome skills and a variety of build options. Stay away from ranked though.

Overall, great game.
Has a solid story with excellent twists and good overall gameplay.
However, the said gameplay is very repetitive (find cover, take out bad guys, scavenge for ammo, move on to next area).
My biggest gripes were that character development was meh, sometimes controls were a bit wonky and subsequently would be frustrating (I’m looking at you jet-ski chapters!!!), and the final boss fight was a HUGE let down and completely unsatisfying.
Considering this game is from 2007, I would say it holds up well and is definitely worth a playthrough, but no reason for revisiting unless for nosalgia.
