Who ever decided that the party members from the first game can't level up should be beaten

This game makes me so sad, it takes a unique game of time management and turns it into more open world sludge boasting such wonders as severely less random shit to use as weapons, loads of collectibles and no Psychopaths with only lame asshole groups to try and fill the void. This poisonous little package is topped off with a character who claims to be Frank West but doesn't have his soul, wit and voice( Due to something like a union strike or something to be fair). No, this "Frank" is instead an obnoxious man child, constantly acting like an annoying jackass instead of the snarky, hotheaded journalist who wants to get to the bottom of things he should be. All in all fuck this game both for being bad and potentially murdering the franchise.

A solid remake that massively improves the controls and goes for visual style that looks like weird mid 2000's cg more then realistic, which I appreciate.

This game fucks almost as much as Dante doesn't. Very excited it play it on PS5 where the long ass load times, the only real big issue, are severely diminished.

Although this game has welcome additions like sprinting, gun bashing and ordering your companions to hack shit it the overall package is let down by an extremely simplified leveling system that rips out skills entirely and a watered down dialogue system that presents you far fewer options and can be remarkably unclear (Better hope "Sarcastic" wasn't "act like a massive prick" in this one quest!). This is coupled with a main quest with extremely mid writing that feels like it wants to have multiple paths like New Vegas but every faction is dumb as shit.

Don't you love a game where overtime mode is DLC that half heartedly tries to bring back the time aspect from the previous games.

An alright game but a lot less interesting then then the first two, trading one interesting, well developed power for a few ones that feel samey and for some weird reason can't be switched at will.

An extremely big brained title that weeds out the weak.

Punch grandpa raw, put him in the next VS game

This game isn't even really bad, just kinda mid.

An alright DLC package. A definite step down from the main, with enemy encounters that get too chaotic for their own good.

Few things in this broken, empty life have filled my black heart with Joy like this remake, taking three games from my childhood and presenting them with modern graphics and improved controls. I don't feel some of the voice acting changes though.
