It's a fun little roguelite-lite-lite, compared with Tax Evasion there's a bigger focus on gameplay rather than story which I do feel is somewhat to the game's detriment.

Weirdly disappointed in Turnip Boy's transition from "Chaotic Neutral Little Bastard" to "Guy who does what he's told" but idk if that's even a valid complaint.

Short, sweet, stupid, fun.

Incredible music, art, gameplay, voice acting, level design and makes you feel like a badass. What more could you ask for.

Surely one of the most distinctive and original games ever made. Music and art are at their finest, there's plenty of enemy/boss variety, and fights feel great to masterize and beat. However, I feel that customizing options aren't all as useful as they could be (Some of them feeling really good, while others feeling really bad), and sadly, Run & Gun phases ended up feeling a bit tedious to complete, and not as fun as boss battles.

Even with that, it's a hell of a game that anyone should try at least once.

co op with darby, weirdest playthru of my goddamn life. we struggled a lot with the blob and the rat and not a lot on the dragon or the robot. my punishment for playing this game for over 100 hours was having to deal with remote play lag. death count 477. loved our time would do it again, which is insane considering ive replayed cuphead more then ive done most things

The incredible music and visuals are sadly brought down by a very poorly implemented and confusing story alongside a genuinely barebones and frustrating level design.

Although it has a beautiful art style and soundtrack, the confusing story presentation, incomplete mechanics and mediocre level design make the game fall short of its potential.

i love this game with so much of my soul.

was a super fun experience! would highly recommend!

Very charming and fun rpg, I used to think about this game a lot as a kid, I love the partners you get :3, soundtrack is good, final battle goes hard, the dojo master too

I've thought about this game for the better part of 2021 and some of 2022 even. I've heard a lot of valid critiques partially of the game's combat, pacing, and ending. Still I cant ignore how this game made me laugh, scream and cry. It wears it's Mother and Yume Nikki inspirations with pride to create a truly charming and surreal experience. I stayed up from midnight to 9am finishing this game on a Saturday. I cried my eyes out.

Amazing story and atmosphere that keeps you on your toes throughout the entire experience. It can be a bit jarring at times when you remember it’s a horror game and not a fun adventure, plus with so many detours from the main story, Omori seems to pad some of its game out to make it longer. Still a great story.

The finale absolutely makes this game. It can drag at points and the dialogue can seem a bit trite, but it's worth sticking with it. It's worst sin is that it is in need of some overall editing, but its strengths come with some charming art, banger soundtrack, strong thematic content, and a great last few hours of gameplay. I found myself wishing for more surreal and important moments sprinkled throughout the middle sections of it. It can be frustrating and drawn out at times, but overall its hard not to give it a high score. Yes, the finale is that good.

Deltarune comes into its own here. It's much stronger aesthetically, narratively, and mechanically than Chapter 1. The inclusion of Spamton and the Weird Route adds much-needed depth to the story. So much theory fodder!

It's interesting! No lack of originality here... but just too hard to get into for me. Not even like "you haven't tried hard enough", it just feels like a "fuck-you" sort of hard, rather than a Soulsborne "get better" sort of hard. But interesting and can be fun.
