If we're talking about uniqueness, this game does standout as it does make you feel like you are a detective trying to figure out a crime by watching interview videos, taking down keywords, and discovering evidence through said videos.

However, the plot itself is horribly written and very boring.
I'd love to see this type of game again, only with a more engaging plot next time.

It was neat.
But it loses a bit of it's scariness halfway through the game as it does like to repeat a good amount of gimmicks.

My ex gave me this game.

Clunky, weirdly way way WAY too hard, and downright tedious.
I will give it this however, it sometimes provides some awesomely scary moments but that's overshadowed by the bullshit management system.

I remember back when I first played this game on the Xbox 360. I got to through the first day and entered into the first night section. My dumb young brain got scared because spooky darkness and I would always stop playing when I reach that point.

Now that I am older, wiser, hotter (debatable) I went back into the mall and played all the way to the end and loved it so much. Now if only the AI wasn't the equivalent to a sack of half eaten potatoes, I'd say this game would be perfect.

I really do not know how to rate this, on one hand it has some of the most ew looking artwork I've seen and a majorly boring story at the start, but in the other, late into the VN, it has some of the saddest shit I've seen.
Imma go middle of the road with this one.

This game is the embodiment of all of those ads.
