I do respect that they had the balls to make this more than the game itself honestly. Its fun on some weird level, but the choices in the begining and how heavily they effect your progession is not explained at all, to the point where it can make the game impossibly difficult if you happen to pick wrong. The levels are just boxes and the writting just didnt click with me. I honestly have no better way than describing it as: it is very gay. Its honestly respectable that a PS2 game leant so much into that specific audience. And judging by the huge fanbase, it seem to have done alot of things very right for people.

They set out to make Resident Evil 4 in space under the leadership of EA and they somehow managd to be on eye level with Capcoms most revolutionary title. The only issue I really have is that its way to easy. All you need is stasis and the plasmacutter and even the highest difficulty becomes a joke.

4 stars only cause the 3rd Act is still really rough, altough it didnt keep me from loving the content. That said: what an amazing fucking rpg, its 100% deserves the hype it got. I can not wait to see what larian does next, doesnt matter if its a new game or just dlc for BG3, I will be there day one to support it. Also: Karlach is best girl.

The legends are overexaggerated. Hard but never impossible, even if you go for 100%. Its honestly on par with most good SNES platformers. The famous really bad save system is also a non issue: almost all bonus token are on your direct path so if your ok at the game your gona get a save every few levels. A decent start to a iconic franchise.

One of the most chilled out and just plain fun rpgs I have ever playd. Yes if your a sucker for the shiniest graphics and the most crisp gameplay youll have to get through some aspects that aged like milk, I cant even start debating that, but overall its such a vibe. If you can defintitly play the Game Cube version, the PC and PS3 versions are ok too, avoid the Switch version like its radio active waste.
