Truly a remarkable game that expands what a souls game in the souls-genre can include. The open-world aspect is huge in my opinion. Being able to come back to a boss after you level up some more allows the game to be more inviting to other players including me. This is my first souls game that I have played to the end and got the platinum.

I really enjoyed my time and appreciated that even though I may have been over leveled for a lot of the game, it still was challenging and I got that hyped up feeling after killing a boss who was giving troubles. I did end the game at level 175 and that was with trying to explore any and everything and killing any boss that had a health bar for the most part. I'm sure I missed a tiny bit, but not much. Also, I did accidentally kill Patches after he tried to wave the white flag, but I was mid swing, so yeah he perished. Thank goodness though if I had gotten pushed off the cliff by him in Mt. Gelmir he would have met a more brutal ending.

Overall, if you are a first time souls player, this is the game to get started on to get you hooked to the idea of what a souls game is like, but with a lot of niceties. I bought the Dark Souls Trilogy and plan to run through those games in due time. I also want to try Bloodborne, Demon's Souls, and Sekiro at some point as well.

When I first heard of a game tailored around being a "hacker" that instantly activated the neurons in my 11, almost 12 year old brain. I begged my dad to let me play the game and with enough convincing I ended up getting it.

I absolutely love the aspect and environment of the game. It is very fun to go around and hack the environment and gain more control over most anything. Controlling the traffic lights, to the sewer lines, to even the vehicles on the road. For this being a new concept for developers to delve into is brilliant to me. It catches the attention of anyone slightly into technology.

Overall, it isn't perfect, that is for sure. There are little bugs and glitches here and there. For it being a 2014 game, it isn't the worst experience and one I'm greatly appreciative of being able to experience. It wouldn't be a Ubisoft game without some glitches.

Also, trying to hack people for the last song needed took foreverrrrrrr. Still worth though :)

Payday 2. An experience like no other in thrilling sense of heisting. Why would anyone keep going back to this now 11 year old game on a very old engine? Well because the core of the game itself is great. It holds true to the getting all the bags to make you feel like you're truly a heister. Putting the mask on and pulling out the Judge shotgun pistol is such a clean feeling and worth the one extra detection point.

With that aside, do not launch this game expecting to hop right in and understand everything there is and not have to tweak any settings. This game is 11 years old. A lot of settings will need changed. Also, with the diverse mod community, it is certainly worth your time to check them out. Whether you want to go crazy and add some fun mods, or just genuine quality of life mods that won't stray away from the vanilla experience. The mod community has you covered with a multitude of mods. I highly recommend doing stealth on anything that can be done stealth. That is the main reason I played the game although some people also find going loud to be fun as well. Overall pretty good once some time is taken to optimize and learn the game mechanics. If only Payday 3 can live to this hype. It did take Payday 2 some time to get to the point it is now as well though.
