This is a review for both Inazuma Eleven Big Bang and Supernova since I played them both.
Honestly what a great and fun game.
Controls were surprising responsive, the graphics for a 3DS game was fantastic and it's arguably one of the best looking 3DS games I've seen.
Palpacking wasn't too bad for me, and while it can be painfully grindly at times, at least your characters, especially will level up fast.

Story while not great, was still entertaining to experience.
The main thing that hold this hidden gem back from being a 5 star game was how frustratingly underpowered the Earth Eleven is, in terms of stats and movesets. Aside from the main 3, Terry/Ibuki and maybe Trina for TP reasons, there's very little reason to use the other Earth Eleven characters, especially almost all of them need Totems to function and Totems aren't that great in general.

Various Sliver and Purple coins scouts that you can recruit from Chapter 3 as well the 11 Earth Eleven additonal characters that you can recruit at the end Chapter 5 will make sure make that almost every Earth Eleven player will be glorified bench warmers, when you can recruit characters like Goldie, Bailong, Durual, Nathan, Beta, Fei, Tori, Gabi, Soul, Gamma, Simon, Wolfram etc.

Such a shame as I grew to like most of them, but their kits and stats are underwhelming and they completely fall off in the post game.

All and all, Inazuma Eleven Go Galaxy BB/SV is what I label as a hidden gem as well being one of the best 3DS games that we never got officially released.

You know, I have some gripes with this game. Primarily that it can feel unwieldy at times, and the camera can be kind of a dick. I also found the game somewhat easy (to beat, not to S rank) and the small stealth section also feels out of place... but that's the worst I can say about this game, honestly.

This is a genuinely amazing character action game and it's fun as fucking hell all the way through in both campaigns. Both characters are fun to play and have a lot of combo potential with how cancellable every animation is. Figuring out how to chain shit together against the bosses was fun as hell, and also fun to see what I could get away with against regular enemies while also avoiding attacks.

On top of that, the soundtrack is great (tho it gets drowned by sound effects and voices) and the writing is actually funny. Kanoko is one of the funniest characters I've seen in a while.

Impressively, this game is apparently primarily developed by one person? The credits show that they had some support, but still seems like it was mostly them alone. Which is mindblowing, honestly.

I can say it's a tad short, tho, but there's extra modes and it took me 12 hours to do both campaigns. That said, I was reloading checkpoints a good bit to get no damage/S Ranks.

Still, an easy recommendation for anyone that wants a fun soulful character action game. It honestly feels like a lost PS2 game, in the best possible way.

This game's dungeon layouts can get old, and constantly going in them sucks, but the music is peak and the story is pretty good

Not gonna have a star rating until I finish all of GU Last Recode but the premise of this game is absolutely hysterical. Dude gets trolled in world of warcraft and then keeps up 8 months of sustained gamer rage because his egirlfriend won't log back in

8.5/10
I think 13 sentinels might have one of the finest narratives on the PS4, even then it isn't without a fault.

In retrospect I think the characters are just kinda average and the final buildup to the end maybe slightly lagging even though the actual end in itself is fantastic.

Although I think that's not the point. 13 sentinels IMO is meant to be a laid back experience, which makes u go " Wow it came together so well, I'm blown away; how did they manage that ".

It may not be refined, but for what it is and what it offers.. (Beautiful visuals, easy gameplay, a certain chill vibe, excellent plotting and structuring).. It's absolutely great. A laid back experience with a lot of depth, which misses a few beats and two.
