THEY PICK THE MINOR ADVENTURE TIME BACKGROUND CHARACTER OVER GANDALF THE FUCKING GREY WHO, HAD A THOUSAND GOOD POTENTIAL FIGHTING MOVES, AND HELPED DEFINE WB. THEY ACTUALLY CANNOT PICK A GOOD ROSTER IF THE WORLD DEPENDED ON IT

EVERY FUCKING MATCH I KEEP GETTING MATCH DESYNC ERRORS AND WHEN IM NOT, IM PAIRED UP WITH AFK TEAMMATES THANK YOU TONY THANK YOU PFG THANK YOU WB GAMES. ITS NEAR IMPOSSIBLE TO EVER COMPLETE A MATCH WITHOUT THE GAME SHITTING ITSELF. SAME GOES WITH PLAYING RIFTS OR EVEN IN THE FUCKING TRAINING MODE

RIFTS ARE A BORING GRIND. PLAYING IT ONCE CAN BE FUN, BUT BEING FORCED TO DO IT ON HIGHER DIFFICULTIES JUST TO "UNLOCK" A CHARACTER THAT'S NOT EVEN IN THE GAME YET? BRAVO PLAYER FIRST GAMES

TOKENS ARE SO STUPID. ACTUALLY, SO IS EVERY CURRENCY IN THIS GAME. THIS GAME HAS A RIDICULOUS GRIND FOR THE FUCKING BATTLEPASS AND COINS THAT REQUIRES FOR YOU TO LOG IN EVERY DAY & COMPLETE YOUR DAILIES TO EVEN COMPLETE THE "FREE" BATTLEPASS THEY GAVE OUT

This is game is infinitely frustrating to me because I see so much potential and a genuinely good game deep down but it has so many flaws that genuinely can’t be ignored. First off what in gods where they doing for a year this got pulled and somehow came back more broken and worse than when it first launched.

The game is super slow every character feels slower than brawl ganondorf which would be impressive if it wasn’t so frustrating to play and god forbid if you play an actual slow character like Jason or iron giant. Speaking of characters this roster is fucking whack like dawg are being for real black Adam got in over so many other DC characters let alone Wanerbros we don’t need 6 DC characters why is Cartoon Network only being repped by two shows why is their only one series repping the entirety of Adult Swim.

To make it clear it isn’t all bad because there is some genuinely sick ass characters that got added I already mentioned Iron giant and Jason but Agent smith, two gremlins reps, game of thrones is a cool choice and I know a lot of people hate him but banana guard is such a stupid character that can’t help but love him even though I think a better joke character could’ve been something like moxy from the moxy show or even something like jabber jaw.

1v1s are garbage with 2v2s being the way to go for the most part. I like the idea of rifts but gem levels are a bit too grindy for my taste. They for some god forsaken reason removed the ability to gain exp after battles with it only being attained through missions now making the battle pass really difficult to complete. One thing I’ll commend is how you are able to unlock characters decently quick through character tokens.


actually buying a character with gleamuim is so dogshit for reference for the purchase of one character it’s 10 whole bucks that is not cheap by any stretch of the imagination and you don’t even get a lot for doing so outside of the ability to play the character for comparison Guilty gear strive’s dlc characters are around 6.99 with a whole season pass being 24.99 for that much money you get access to multiple characters usually 4, 1-2 stages, 4 fully new songs, and 6 additional colors on top of that for the same price in multiversus you can only buy 2 and half characters not even a full three which is beyond ridiculous for if we’re being honest here pretty bare bones characters with no additional colors which I think is the bare minimum mind you I don’t mind spending money on full blown alt costumes those are far harder to make than a simple palette swap but still it’s really bad.

The music was forgettable but I did like the Adventure time and Rick and Morty tracks they made for their stages.
Overall this game is frustrating because it fucked off for a year came back worse and the reason I’m so harsh is because I do truly care about this game because I see a beyond talented and passionate team of developers who I know can truly make something special but as right now it is what it is.
