Very solid for what is essentially a fancy NES game. I played the DS version without the party chat and it would have made it way better. There were a few lines from having Torneko appraise an item that we're pretty funny, would have loved to get more of that.

One thing that bothered me was that the final boss is a partial asset reuse from a boss like 2 hours earlier. Kinda lame.

I went for the true demon ending on normal. The kalpas are pure suffering and the game can just decide it wants to be mean sometimes. Good music and atmosphere. Traveling around the map can be a bit of a pain sometimes. Make sure you get a mod for uncompressed music if you're playing on PC.

Daisoujou is my homie.

Amazing game. It's a good balance of actual horror and fun gameplay. It really stands out after playing KF2 and coming back years later, the design choices are really solid. You DO have to deal with some engine jank but its not really that bad.

Objective mode kinda sucks though. They need to buff commando too, its useless on HOE.

I completed 100% of the steam achievements.

The soul system is really interesting, wish the drop rate was higher. It feels really good to get some strong equipment and souls and just Soma all over everyone.

Fun characters, good gameplay. I played on an emulator so the whole connectivity/street pass content fell flat. The last half of the game really drags, there's just not enough new content to make it interesting.

The idea of playing bravely default second layer with the same map/locations seems a little painful.
