I knew I would love this game, but I am still shocked at just how insanely impressive it is. I have never played a game this immersive in my entire life. Every action, every bullet you fire, everything you interact with. It feels like you, the player, are fully interacting. Everything that Half-Life 2 laid the groundwork for has been improved, every single thing. The ending has me wanting so much more, and I just can't wait for the moment when we eventually get the next Half-Life game. Thank you Gracie for giving me the chance to finally experience this, and thank you Valve for blessing us with this masterpiece. If you haven't been sold on VR yet, this is the one.

(Replayed on Ultra-Violence with the DOOM CE Conversion)

DOOM has always been one of my favorite shooters ever made, a very influential game to me and gaming as a whole. Looking for different ways to experience it after getting the urge to play through all of it again, I heard about the PSX port that is apparently a large tonal shift from the original game. After playing, I can definitely say that much is true. The atmosphere has been made much more sinister and dreadful with the new lighting, the music has been taken from an adrenaline-pumping thrash backtrack with occasional slower groovy tracks to a full-on droning and haunting ambient soundtrack that makes the world around you much more hellish. Playing on the Ultra-Violence difficulty is the way to go, not frustratingly brutal and but too forgiving. Absolutely my favorite way to play DOOM, very close to perfect, still think that the last chapter is way too easy to get lost in though.

Ahh... free at last. O Gabriel, now dawns thy reckoning, and thy gore shall GLISTEN before the temples of Man! Creature of Steel, my gratitude upon thee for my freedom. But the crimes thy kind have commited against humanity are NOT forgotten! And thy punishment... is DEATH.

I played as much of this game as I could bare, which was about 20 minutes, and that's not including the maybe 10 or 15 minutes it took for me to even get the game running. Not at all worth anybody's time. The game doesn't work on modern operating systems, and even when you can cheat it into working it's just a soulless husk in the shadow of a sadly overlooked masterpiece. Not worth your time or money. Play Death Wish.

Demo is absolutely wonderful, excited for the full game!

Literally sobbed at the title screen.

2014

This game is just an absolute treat, a full craft of love. Everything about this game has so much personality that it is just so special. The gameplay is just so brilliantly paced, lets you get used to the speed really easily, and it never lets up, and my GOD is this game replayable as hell. I could not recommend this game enough.

This game has been one of the important parts of my life for nearly all of it. The first time I played this game was around 2008, I was about 5 years old. At that young of an age, you really only think about media such as that at face value, nothing more than simple entertainment. I began to play the game more throughout my life, picking up the 3DS remaster when I was 8. Loved it as much as the first time. Come 2022, I decide to do a full replay of the game, considering it had been a long time since I had completed it. This was the time I realized how important this game was. Being nearly 20 years old, this game holds many core memories for me, memories of being a child in a time where you are unaware of the negative aspects of life, enjoying the fun as it comes. I realized not only how much the game means to me, but how much it comforted me. This game feels like it has grown up with me, being a part of my life for so long, given me solace. I cannot state how thankful I am for this game's existence, I only hope that many children will get to experience this game in the same way that I did growing up. Thank you. 🤍

Don't know the last time I played a game that just felt this damn satisfying. Shooting combines has an obviously heavy impact and the ragdoll physics add a much appreciated cherry on top of the game's combat. The game's physics were, and still are, very impressive and fun to work with, incorporating already great weapons plus the ability to use almost anything to aid you in battle. The graphics are nothing short of impressive for 2004, the lighting, atmosphere, and models still hold up very well even now, being on par with even late Xbox 360 and PS3 titles. The characters and the way they interact through the writing is extremely well done, and the world building is unlike any other game I have ever played. In short, play this game.

we need a new castlevania game like this but more fleshed out. very fun and fluid classicvania style game.

One of the best MUGEN games, period.

To date, this is my favorite Mortal Kombat game. Not only did it take everything good about the previous MK games and jam it into one, but it took the series in a very well needed direction.
