Probably the game I played the most as a kid, finishing the damn tower over and over and over. It was simple yet fun.

2003

This game has no chill and no mercy for you. You either learn how to calculate every single move you make or you will end up dead or stuck in the same loop. Heck, even if you know what you're doing you will still end up dead.

Few things in this world get me more pumped than hearing the full metal fighter tune in the first stage...

You need to try this at least once on mame. Evil wrestling organization, Elvis impersonator, puroresu drama and other wrestling shenanigans that you are going to enjoy as long as love having fun. it's real to me damn it!

This and the second Kirby game for the GB make a solid point: riding cute animals can improve your gameplay in about 200%

No point playing this when New Vegas exist...

Got stuck in the mines where every single german soldier has a rocket launcher.

I never got the meme humour of this game. While the gameplay is interesting at first I lost interest pretty quickly.

The transition to 3D was rough for this franchise. Both the gameplay and story feel slugish and slow. I reached a point half in the game where I didn't knew what else to do, and the characters are not exactly very charming. I'm not sure I want to pick up this again, maybe I will but I lack the motivation right now.

Currently playing this bad boy on Steam...

Fun, but the PS2 version with it's horrible slowdowns is barely playable.

Fun and challenging as per usual with Treasure. I need to go back to it one of these days.

The grinding and episodic nature of the gameplay is both it's weakest and strongest point. It sets it apart from other shmups, but it's not as rewarding as it could be. You will play some hours of this and then drop it for good.
