Just a nice lil metroidvania with cute art, can't think of anything else I'd want in a game.

Maybe a more powerful double jump.

When this game first came out, I couldn't get into it. I hated it. But 2 years later, after I'd mastered Hollow Knight and Blasphemous, Minoria became absolutely do-able.

Really I just hated soulslikes, 2D or otherwise. I dropped 3000th Duel so quick you wouldn't even BELIEVE it. I still think that game sucks tho. Kinda dumb to like it.

Minoria is pretty light on the Metroidvania elements, I made it through with only one real movement upgrade and a couple swords. The souls aspect is extremely heavy, but luckily there's nothing to retrieve when you die, so when you journey off to a part of the map that ended up having a single 300XP flower, you can just die in 3 hits and go back to your save.

I dunno, I like this game more than I did, but all in all felt like it was just okay. Pretty short too. Can't wait for the next Momodora though!

This game is SO FUCKING frustrating. The biggest obstacle to progression is knock back from dozens of tiny enemies that could be in an area at any given time. So much re-climbing just because a spider or a crow knocked you down a screen or two. There's a cool death mechanic where your body gets possessed and you show up as a fresh, faceless agent that has to retrieve your gear from the possess agent. Super cool early in the game, fucking sucks from the halfway point on. Probably a one and done from me.

This game is super queer, criminally short, has a spot on SNES aesthetic (outside of the music), gives a neck breaker of a nod to Order of Ecclesia, and is one of my new favorite metroidvanias. The randomizer for pc is really well done.

I've never been very into, or good at shmups. This one didn't change anything for me. I got a game over while shooting at a giant tanuki lady's tits, and I had a real Marie Kondo moment. It is no longer on my switch 😌

I tried so hard to beat this game even though I didn't care. I was literally at the final boss when I gave up. Mighty No 9 was a huge disappointment to mega man fans, but Azure Striker Gunvolt really picked up the pieces after 9 dropped them.

Also pretty sure there's a bug in the Mac version, to this day, that makes one of the levels unbeatable.

This does everything it set out to do. A very cute little game where you just hang out mostly

I don't know how to explain this sentence but this game feels like blue collar celeste to me?

I really wanted to like this and then I realized I was trying to make myself enjoy it when I just wanted to finish it so I could move it on backloggd. The music is soooo good, it reminds me of if Hideki Nagamuma did the soundtrack for the Japanese version of Undercover Cops. The visual style is so cute. But the dog handles like a lead balloon. He's so floaty but it's so hard to recalibrate a jump midair. I felt like I was fighting the game itself instead of the enemies in it.

It's got some cool mechanics but the controls and story just didn't keep my attention.

It's just another retro precision platformer, who gives a shit. Ratalaika is just a retro shovelware company, and I don't trust anything with their name on it. Check out Garlic instead.

Okay, so at first this absolutely feels like a DKC clone, but it gets so much better. Makes me want to play Yooka Laylee and the Impossible Lair to see how it compares. But like... okay I HATE auto runners, but there's some auto runner levels scattered throughout the game and I got so excited every time one came up. It's a little shorter than I expected, but as soon as I finished I went back to start working on 100%. Loved this game.

Update: okay I 100%'d it and it was just like a true ending cutscene, no new levels, kinda bummed me out.

This is just such a sweet little game. If you're rushing to beat it, you can finish it in an hour, but there's so much to do, if you're willing to go looking for it. I started a new game cause It had been so long since my first try that I forgot where everything was. Both playthroughs had all kinds of little side quests I never saw in the other. It's an extremely good game for when you're feeling casual. Loved it.

As an old-school sonic fan (or just old) I remember playing this and being like wow, Sonic is BACK!

Everyone's funky uncle Hideki Naganuma supplied a top notch soundtrack for this one. Tried really hard to make use of 3D space in the boss fights, but falls back in the habit of all 3D sonic boss fights (that I can remember): this is the part where you try to not get hit, this is the part where you get a free hit, repeat. Honestly just worth it for the soundtrack alone.

When people talk about character development, they don't mean big tiddies
