Seems like, along with River City Ransom Underground, the only way to make a good Kunio-Kun game these days is to make sure Arc Systems doesn't touch it. Super fun beat em up with tons of moves to learn! Can't wait for the sequel.

I usually don't like shmups but this one is WILD and super aesthetically pleasing

A super fun lil mobile game made by HAL Labs ! It's cute!

This game just feels SO GOOD. I love the movement tech. Super cute, great soundtrack, pretty much rules, okay?

This doesn't feel like a retro-throwback, it feels like you just unearthed an early PC classic that you've never heard of.

I keep trying to get into this game but it just won't take. Might give it another shot but I don't really want to.

A really good Sonic fan-game turned original IP.

When I was a kid I rented this, didn't like it, brought it back and told the guy at the store it didn't work, and he said "Yeah, everyone brings it back"

But as a GROWNUP I started to really appreciate this game. I don't have an actual review of this, I just wanted to tell that story.

I loved the way this game played but it just felt so icky and problematic I eventually abandoned it.

I loved this for a while. A very interesting dungeon crawler, though a bit grindy. Gorgeously detailed art that gets a little ruined by constant slow zooms. A surprisingly engaging story between dungeons.. if you can unlock it. Several characters with unique fighting style and a fatigue system that keeps you from playing the same one over and over. I stopped playing at some point, probably because I picked something else up, but would really like to get back to it.

Okay it's kinda like if Hyper Light Drifter was a horde/wave survival game in modern japan? :slaps roof: you can fit so much fucking Great Soundtrack in this bad boy. Not sure if there's an ending or not, really enjoyed my time with it.

A very cute little nice game for christmas! My favorite part was the music, the way they mixed melodies from the original Cave Story into holiday music, the overworld screen using percussion samples straight from SMB3, and the music changing after sitting on the overworld for a few minutes which was a nod to the special world levels in SMW.

I never really figured out how to beat this but I loved it and should go back for more soon.

This was one of the first times I could play a pixel art game with a modern soundtrack without being pissed off by it (I'm kind of a dork like that). Extremely good gameplay and story. Can't recommend it enough.

Just an absolute masterpiece. The biggest downside is there's very little replay value, unless you wait about 3 years to forget what happened the first time.
