One of the best DLCs ever probably! I don't like roguelite hell I hate it even! But with this I saw it through most of it. Story content was good enough to drive my desire to continue and the boss fight was fun everytime. Feeling like it's hard at first but getting stronger and understanding the patterns, areas, powers etc felt good. Homages to og trilogy, some new backstory bits about it are all nice additions to the franchise. Gameplay is solid as always and may I say that I enjoyed Valhalla much more than main campaign of Ragnarok. It was just more enjoyable without all those slow ass parts that dragged the main game. Stil nice story plus more frequent action, best of both worlds! Also I don't think it's unfair to compare this to No Return of LoU-Part II and man this just sweeps the floor with that. So I guess I can give roguelites a try more often if they have a good story to tell with a combination of good gameplay. But not one without the other please, right Naughty Dog?

A fun appetizer for the fans of Alan Wake' world. I really liked how they improved the things from main game. More weapons, more enemy types, dodge system that actually works! Also reading, listening, watching all those script pages, radio shows, videos were nice too. Another thing I want to point out is Alan was actually likeable in this unlike the main game. I liked almost all of the interactions too, cool stuff really. Villian was enjoyable.
I guess for the cons I can say that you can feel that it's not a main game from the scope, playing in same areas becomes dull even the story reason is smart, tense atmosphere of the og game is gone, no "words" to play even though "reality changing" is a fun new concept.
Overall I'm glad that I didn't skip this and even got a bit emotional in the end. Can't fucking wait for more of this universe. On to the Control&DLCs before the main event itself.
Note: New Old Gods of Asgard song just rocks! And Alan Wake actors do a great work; both of them.

Comparing the previous DLC at least this one was fun. Using the "words" is an interesting mechanic that fits the narrative. Also story tidbits here are more interesting too. I liked environments and ending is intriguing. Overall, this one is good enough to play while "The Signal" was a literal chore to get through.
