Now with 100+ hours and with the game completely done up to NG+4 and all the trophies and side quests done I still haven't fully come around with this game, I still believed my expectations for it were fat too high that they were not exceeded, but I came to like it a bit more in those following 30 hours in my first review.

I still have my problems with certain areas and it's bosses, for the latter mainly because of how certain fights will have wonderful presentation, but have one or two problems that completely throw me off from the encounter. Such as godfrey's second phase having 3 or so delayed grab attacks and a significantly weaker impact in the gameplay compared to his first phase, malenia's incessant and obnoxious healing and combo that can completely ruin a good run and stain the fight or the elden beast fight as a whole which completely drains any impact from radagon's fight given you'll have to refight him every time you die to elden beast, which might be a decent amount since that boss has a fixation on overlapping attacks and running away.

After going more in depth about its story through quests I still find it to be weaker than any of its predecessors (have not played sekiro though) and not something particularly impactful such as DS2's presentation of aldia or ds3's ending.

As stated in my previous review I still dislike how certain mechanics were never reintroduced back to this game which would fit quite well such as bonfire ascetics. But I also now enjoy more what the game has provided with what it took from previous games.

I still have problems with certain areas and it's overwhelming amount of content that instead of making me want to explore it more it end ups having the opposite effect of making me want to just rush it through certain places, the overabundance of repeat bosses and certain aspects like horseback combat and QOL bits. The OSTs also felt rather lacking in comparison to past games, most of which felt very forgettable alongside certain fights as a whole in the game.

Overall now that I'm 100% done with the game I still don't believe it to a perfect masterpiece, but I have gained some newfound appreciation for certain aspects of it despite still feeling the game could've done more. It's an absolutely gorgeous game visually and though I still don't feel it to be quite as impactful as what came before its able to provide some incredible and phenomenal moments here and there.

To grieve deeply... is to have loved fully.
Open your heart to the world as you have opened it to me, and you will find every reason to keep living in it.

This is what The Last of Us Part II was to The Last of Us, but better. I won't elaborate (I don't mean a sequel, dummies).
