This is a great take on the survival horror genre. I love the focus on story, character interaction, and impactful choices. It starts out pretty campy, but I think that is their way of making it feel like a horror movie. It pays off as it captures that classic 80's slasher movie essence perfectly.

This game is so much better than the other GB Castlevania. The addition of sub weapons and less gimmicky level design makes this game a much more enjoyable experience. Compared to other games in the classic series it falls short, but it is still a pretty fun game.

This game is pretty clunky and some of the levels are borderline unfair. It is interesting to see how they tried to translate Castlevania to the Gameboy, but ultimately it doesn’t capture the feeling of the other games in the series.

One of the best platformers ever made. Every screen is a masterclass in game design.
