Very platinum game-esque action game with a strong anime aesthetic and banger music. World building is actually really good but the story is meh. At least some of the cutscenes are hype.

What brings the game down are the annoying forced stealth sections, the light padding (some animations/scenarios take way too long, some enemy/area copy-pastes, and huge repetition for completion), and finally - the technical limitations of the switch.

Played the extra content in file 12 but I could only get about halfway before it became really grindy and long. The gameplay is pretty good but not enough for the same thing another 30ish hours.

Sitting on it, I realized a lot of the side missions are a mixed bag where some are really cool (puzzles, balancing games)! But others end up being filler combat or fetch quests. And damn is that switch hardware really rough here, causing overheating and very low fps during fights. It would feel so much better at 60fps. 8 -> 7

One of the all time RTS classics - banger music. It's difficult to get into, and some missions require a lot of tactical and unique solutions that makes it hard to recommend to everyone. Once it clicks though, it feels really good - when it clicks...

Also the "Classic" portion of original ports doesn't run well on modern hardware.

A great story with exceptional performances and themes. The graphics were a mixed bag with mostly beautiful environments/cutscenes, but the in-game animations and how the faces looked were really janky.

Def makes you feel, but not through the serviceable (and easy) gameplay: 7.8/10 - a narrative game through and through.

For what the game tried to be (inspired by HL2 and Frictional Games), it fell extremely short - even for the smaller dev team. Frustrating and limited gameplay, nonsensical story trying to be more than it is for such a short runtime, abrupt ending, and painful optimization for what the game was outputting graphics-wise.

The cutscenes and some technical aspects are really jittery, but hey - it's a good slice of the game to demo and it's fun for its short runtime.

Amazing how a small team of developers could accomplish so much high quality work for a FREE mod. I only wish there was more (hard mode/challenge mode?) And some dialogue fell short but the VAs did their best

This game really takes it out of you. Putting it down and coming back (legit a year later) after horrible RNG did at least feel fresh, with the gameplay being deep enough to carry completing all the caretaker goals.

The art and story and music and narration is really amazing. I understand it's meant to be a "hard" game, but a lot of it's difficulty comes down to true random chance, making some parts frustrating.

It's really dependent on if a person can withstand such inconveniences that makes it hard to recommend generally.

Very charming with a nice ending. Some transition animations are extremely slow with and some puzzles have moon logic. But there are so many extras and actually clever puzzles that the limitations on the DS don't really bother me.

Not my type of game but a gentleman always compliments the cutscenes.

"She 20 on minutes till I dawn"
Pretty engaging initially but becomes repetitive getting to darkness 15. At D15, some characters are really hard to finish with, and a lot of the successful builds end up with just standing in one place and winning.

I have a grocery list of cons playing this game. Technical bugs, very janky gameplay and animations, and repetitive obstacles and locations. It was annoying at worst and boring at best in my opinion.
There are a couple of pros - pretty good music and a couple of good ideas that make up a small percentage of the game.

The style is bangin', the gameplay and extra content, not so much

The definition of "yup, that's a good campaign. 7/10"
The graphics and environments look really good for 2015, makes it really fun to progress through the world. Gameplay and story are serviceable but has some good moments.
A rushed final area, technical performance needing a lot of fiddling, and not engaging "extras" (expeditions) make it a game with not much staying power.
PS: 100%ing it is also tedious - not worth it imo.

40 benadryl simulator

It was nice not following a guide and having the genuine feeling of being lost for the first couple of hours. The game is insane in theming and art direction - with a very disgusting overall style (in the good way). Gameplay goes from very scary to roguelite optimization and just as it's about to overstay it's welcome, it ends luckily.

I'd love to give it a higher score for its uniqueness, especially its sound and world design; but limited gameplay, some poorer optimization on bigger levels, and nausea inducing experiences do hold it back somewhat.

Even though the "game" aspect isn't as fun, I feel like this overall product will stay in my mind for a while.

This city builder fun to chip away at - but outstays its welcome. Repeating questlines that aren't very interesting and limited world map and relations hold it back though. Def a game to relax to and take your time in.
