Twin Peaks

Games inspired by Twin Peaks

The original Twin Peaks inspired video game. Inspiration primarily is used towards the Town itself. Blue Velvet is also cited as an influence.

You probably already know about this game, but if you don't there are plenty of articles/interviews on google that can show you that this is basically just an unlicensed Twin Peaks video game.
Sam Lake states that the setting was inspired by Twin Peaks. There is also a list of references on the Alan Wake wiki

Stand in for anything by Suda51. Its obvious from playing the games or reading interviews that he loves Lynch and Twin Peaks. Not only are the inspirations obvious, but he also has many references. 25th Ward specifically has its own Red Room.

This one is very surprising. During an interview with Iwata Aonuma and Tezuka talked about how they wanted the characters in the game to seem suspicious and cite Twin Peaks as an inspiration. This would then go on to influence the rest of the series.

Twin Peaks has been cited as an influence when it comes to the games storytelling and setting.

This one is a stretch as there's not confirmation, but its hard to deny the influence from the bizarre ways they solve some of the mysteries to some of the wild characters. The closest thing to a confirmation I could find was just a something that could be a minor reference.

Another stretch as Kazutaka Kodaka never specifically mentions Twin Peaks, he does however mention David Lynch. Along with some noticeable parts of the game that are inspired by Twin Peaks, I feel like the school being called Hopes Peak is just the icing on the cake.

One of the original pitches for the game was “Winnie the Pooh meets Twin Peaks”
