This game was really fun, as someone who played Monster Hunter Stories on 3DS, I feel this game opened up the world much more and refined the combat quite well, it pretty much took everything from the first game and improved it without taking much out from what I noticed.

I spend a good amount of my time doing nearly every side quest and hatching nearly every monster, and making sure I made every equipment I could, I did limit myself on my run by only using the Hunting horn as my weapon, so if any other weapon falls short in combat I won't be aware of it.

The world feels rich and open, the story is actually really good despite it repeating some of the story structures here and there but it's a RPG and that happens, monster collecting is fun, and plenty of customization options available.

If you love the first game definitely get this, if you like games like Pokemon, Digimon, or Shin Megami Tensei I can't see a reason you wouldn't enjoy this, and if you love Monster Hunter this is definitely a traditional RPG love letter to the main series.

This is a pretty good remaster, as someone who grew up playing the Underground series of games and didn't get to play the Pro Skater, this felt the same and a very welcome introduction.

I never found any problem with the controls, the music is pretty good with a few hit or miss tracks, and the stages range from easy to a little tricky here and there, but nothing overly taxing. A pretty relaxed and chill game.

If you took Streets of Rage, Final Fight, and River city Ransom and combined them together, this is what you get. the game is beautiful and plays very smoothly, the music is actually really energetic and your 3 main characters all fight differently. The game is actually longer than it feels because you can take alternative paths and see different events and fight different enemies. The game definitely has an edge of challenge to it on it's default difficulty.

The only drawback the game has is very minor, but Fight'N Rage tends to lean too heavily on it's homage to other beat em ups to the point, it's a great mix of nearly every mainstream beat em up you can think of with many references to them but....the problem is, the game lacks it's own identity, nothing in this game stands out as something of it's own, if you've played a lot of beat em ups you'll instantly see references to past games all over this game, but nothing this game can call it's own.

This game is amazing! The controls and the graphics are very crisp and very well done, the world is very much open, the atmosphere steps the mood perfectly, and the story is really good even if it's not RPG levels of deep but it is there and does show it's face from time to time. The game has many strengths, if you like 2D Metroid games then this game does everything the others do but better.

It's only slight weakness if any is the music in the game while good in the few places you even notice it, it's not as strong as say the Fusion or Prime games, even Metroid 2 on Game Boy the music while being more beeps and bloops still get the mood at times better than the almost too quiet Dread tracks.

Next weakness is the very inconsistent hand holding, sometimes it leads you from place to place when you don't need the leading, yet drops you off with absolutely no hint where to go and for maps that big, there's alot of blocked off areas that you suddenly can't access and won't know until you've been traveling there for about 5 or 8 mins.

Those aside, amazing game, gotta play it if you own a Switch.

Finally, WarioWare back at it's true form! I've always been a fan of the series and still hold the GBA one as my favorite, this game goes back to the non gimmicky controls and gives you the blink and you miss it gameplay and plenty of focus on the WarioWare characters. It's as silly and random as ever, good animations, a lot of references, comedy, it's got the works.

The only thing the game suffers from which is minor but worth mentioning is you choose characters to do the games and they have either own control style, some character can break some of the mini games and makes them easy and some struggle heavily on certain types, during story it's a crap shoot on which way it goes in your favor or not.

Otherwise definitely a fun game and glad to see the series back to it's original form.

This is how a sequel should be! This game was amazingly fun to play and di everything right, the worlds are expansive, the power ups are interesting, the boss fights are very creative, the story while good is nothing really "new", the music is amazing as well as the graphics.

If I had to explain the difference between Blaster Master Zero 1 and 2, the best way to put it is, Blaster Master Zero is obviously a remake of the original Blaster Master on NES and expands upon it and does it very well.

Blaster Master Zero 2 you can tell is very much it's own game, I mean it's a sequel of course but you can tell the developers said "well now we don't have to stick strictly to a format like the remake." So they just went all out and made an amazing game that shows their creativity.

I will admit, my first hour into the game I wasn't crazy because the balancing of the difficulty felt waaay harder than the first game because it has new mechanics and how it wants you to tackle things, but after a few hours and some adjusting I totally fell into this game and it's world.

Alright the best way I can explain this game, is Blaster Master Zero 3 is the perfect bow that goes on a gift. The first game was really good but you could feel it was a remake and had restraints to it. Blaster Master Zero 2 went for more of a world to world gameplay, so Blaster Master Zero 3 a sort of light world and dark world setting or in this real world and hyper space.

Every thing good the past two games did carries over to this one, amazing story, music, graphics, fun game play, this one I'll say the difficulty doesn't come from the bosses as much as it comes from so many places to explore and much to pick up, it never gets boring.

Definitely recommend to anyone who loves Metroidvanias but do play all 3 games.

This trilogy is amazing, it's the best of it's kind. It's an amazing indie game, Blaster Master Zero is an amazing remake of the original Blaster Master, it's a really good Metroidvania, filled with great music, beautiful sprite work mixed with old SNES/GBA-like dialogue scenes. The story carries along very well, all the games take place one after the other so it's easy to follow along. this is an amazing indie trilogy I suggest anyone play as long as you like Metroidvania type games or if you played the original Blaster Master on NES, you'll love this.

Oh boy...where to start? Okay I'll explain this and maybe it'll put things into perspective...I don't know if it's because I've played TemTem, Monster Hunter Stories 2, or Pokemon Shield before playing this, but Omega Ruby was mostly boring to me, the game felt like playing Pokemon Red/Blue today but without having the nostalgia for it to lead you.

I've always been a fan of 3DS so it's not the console it's on that's the issue, I think that the game doesn't have a lot of content in it's base gameplay, like even if you compare it to Black2/White 2 the story was interesting, even X/Y did this better and they came before this remake.

The only good thing I can give this game is about 3/4s near the end, there was some really good set pieces, the music in certain spots was really good, and for a bit the story felt a little grander for a small time, but ultimately the game felt like another Pokemon game with nothing of it's own to lean on, it just felt bland, the story, the characters, the settings, the music, the challenge, all was bland and I definitely had no desire to go back and try the post-game Delta Episode, despite me reading it had a better story...that's not good enough, I shouldn't have had to play a game for 23 hours for it to finally TRY to attempt to be good.

Okay I have two takes on this game, I'll start with the take of if someone has never played the first game or Ritual of the Night, if you like the old classic Castlevania games then you're going to love this and the first game, it's just like Castlevania more closer to the third game, it's pretty much castlevania with modern bells and whistles. If you haven't played Castlevania or the first game then this is a really good platformer with some challenge to it, great music, great sprite work, and interesting characters. I can't see someone not liking this unless they just don't like retro 2-D platformers with challenge.

Now,if you played the first game...this is still a good game, everything above still pretty much stands, but the game does suffering from pulling the same "playthrough the game more than once" to complete the story, this is where the game kinda falls short, to finish the game's story completely you basically have to run it like 4 times, if you want to complete the game as a whole it's gonna be like around 6 to 8 times. Honestly after the second time it starts to feel repetitive and it's not giving much change to warrant it.

It's still a good game but be warned it's repetitive if you wanna see the story play out. OH it also has co-op I didn't get to test it but if that's a selling point, there ya go.

Mkay, let me start this out saying I bought this game on Limited Runs Games mostly on the box and the few screenshots they gave (Fun fact: Game Freak made this game) I don't recall having seen the trailer at all or I would known exactly what I'm about to kinda complain about.

Okay, for starters....this game looks pretty good to me, it reminds me of DEAD or SCHOOL, (I'm sure few have played that but it's my profile of games, good game) the artstyle in my opinion isn't bad, I've seen people complain but I like it. The music is pretty chill and fits the environment of a dystopian metal future in ruins (you know the deal.) The story is actually pretty interesting, it seems kind of manga/anime-like (I don't watch or read either much so it's the best I can describe.) and honestly if it weren't for what I'm about to mention I would have kept playing.

This game's biggest sticking point to it which lost me is....this game is a platform puzzle game, had I looked up more about it and not bought it on a whim I would have made a better judgement, but most of the time I can handle a few puzzles....this game is like all puzzles, every room is some kind of puzzle you have to figure out by using debris and enemies, without going into too much detail the gimmick of the game is using defeated enemy parts and junk heaps to make platforms, attack with, and solve puzzles dealing with kinetic momentum and such. I'll say the game does a good job and these puzzles can be head scratchers, BUT it gets tiring because every room or second room is some kind of puzzle, it becomes a lot to take in when you look at the overall map and thing to yourself "Can I really handle anymore puzzles? Every room so far is going to be a more time consuming puzzle..." I think I was at the halfway mark of the game, mental exhausted but said "I can keep going, I bought this I should finish it." All it took was the next room after I said that was a balancing puzzle with enemy placement and destroying parts of the room to make a scale AND path and I stopped. If I had looked up more about the game prior I likely wouldn't have got it, so I'm done with it.

I know it's weird I'd give it a high rating but honestly is a good game on the surface, it's just the wrong genre for me.

One thing about this game I'll always remember is (CE-34878-0) SuperMash

I don't know what is wrong the game if needs another patch they haven't made or if the one put on the Limited Run Games is faulty, but I got this error probably like a total of 10 times, always after finishing a mashed game.

Now with that out of the way, this game is actually really good to a point, the best comparison I can give is this is kinda like 9-Volt's stages in Warioware but the whole game is like this and the levels are longer than like what 10 seconds. for those who don't know, SuperMash is basically a game where a system generates 2 different game genres and puts them together to make a whole but small game. This novelty is actually pretty good not a tad bit shallow at times. some genres don't mix very well while others give you a hybrid of what you'd expect, on top of this you get good glitches that help you and bad glitches that hinder you depending on the level and difficulty you pick.

Baseline all that sounds really good, you get to see characters in games they don't belong and such it's a really fun time with excellent music, can't really compliment the graphics much because each genre of game is drawn or pixeled or however you expect it would look back in the 32-bit and below systems.

Aside from the game crashing on me a lot between most of the mash-ups, there's also a very shallow story of a brother and sister running a game store and stuff happens, not gonna explain it, it's extremely weak of a story and tends to take you of the game you came to actually play.

If you find the game on sell definitely give it a try, I don't know if it runs better on the Switch or Xbox or PC, but it definitely didn't run well on my PS4 aside from the crashing I would experience the frame rate skipping at times and stuttering.

I really wanted to rank this game higher than this but I honestly couldn't, the game is very good as far as being 2D platformer in the same vein as Mega Man X, the controls are smooth, the story is okay, it's nothing deep really and if you've played the past Gunvolt series games you'll see the same pattern of storytelling. The music is very much amazing just as the prior games were as well.

Where this game falls short at is...well...exactly that...this game is short, about 4 to 6 hours long, and for a 2D platformer that's not bad, but the story also doesn't do anything to help how short it feels, nothing is sat on very long and it's obvious there is to be a sequel, but to me it feels like the sequel is gonna be the other half of the game. To add to the game's lack of length, it's not difficult to say the least, boss patterns were easy to get after dying once and the only challenge came from the end.

All in all, if you love the Azure Gunvolt games or Mega Man X/Zero series then definitely play this, just make sure you get it on sale or for cheap, the game really feels shorter than it is.

This game started out really good, I think honestly with both the PADZ part and the Mario part get really repetitive and the RNG gets really bad, it's hard to really make the right monsters/characters to get through with the game because it lacks a consistent flow, it's a really good idea as a whole, but I know the series is made for mobile aaaand this game feels like it's difficulty is still set like you could buy things to help you, but you can't so you're just stuck with it's difficulty.

This was amazing! SMT5 feels exactly how it should, if you've played any SMT main series game then you'll know what to expect here. It borrows heavily on the system built with the SMT4 games, combined with the skill list building that SMT3 gave but with a bit of it's own twist.

The graphics of the game looks really good, you can tell Atlus put a lot of heart into making the game within that kinda long development time. The music also is really good and feeling, most of it fits the atmosphere so I doubt you'll be listening to it outside the game save for the battle/boss themes.

The stories pacing is really well done, though I felt for the first half of the game it strings you along not really telling you too much lore/back story which is fine by me because it fits the narrative as a whole.

Any fan of the Shin Megami Tensei main series will love this game as it brings everything the portable games brought, just now on a console and in full, fans of the Persona series with little to no SMT main experience, I think could find enjoyment in this game as long as you set aside this isn't "slice of life" anime storytelling you get with the modern Persona games, this is closer to Revelations: Persona (or Persona 1) and both the Persona 2 games so it's pretty dark and gritty and dives right into the occult with no shame.

Easily in my top 3 games of the year.
