Quickly correcting myself here, *I never found myself in a situation where engaging with combat was a total negative. If only there were a way to edit comments!

@NOWITSREYNTIME17 Same here! It might be a while before I round back to the sequels given how much is already on this year's backlog, but I'm hopeful!
@EldestBrisingr: Thanks! I do agree with everything you've said, though I have to admit that I never found myself in a situation where not engaging in combat was a total negative, given my current knowledge. The high score element is something I can appreciate, but I also wish that there were another side to this with a higher difficulty setting as I brought up before that would entice me to avoid combat more often. Maybe they could have added sleeping enemies that were invincible and thus had to be avoided at all costs or introduce enemies that would respawn the next day as a tougher variation if killed? Just a couple of ideas off the bat that could have led to tighter guidelines aside from enforcing a tighter timer or increasing the amount of Pikmin lost every time I engaged of course.
