I'm offended that Konami put this game on the Advance Collection, and even more offended they'd call it a "legendary fan favorite" in their trailer for the collection.

It would've been better to just leave a blank space than use this game as obvious filler.

everyone is like "Put Rondo of Blood on modern systems that aren't PS4!!!" and then Konami went "okay" and the monkey paw's finger curled

It's funny you commented here, I did play this again on a whim not long ago and it still astounds me just how dickish this game is. You put banger after banger out during the 16-bit era only to throw this shit out, very fucked up.

It still fucking baffles me because it's a fucking GBA collection, what was even the point of adding an extra game that nobody likes that doesn't even fit the theme of the collection

It's reverse psychology. They say you love the game when you really hate it, and that will make you hate the game, but hating the game will make you want to buy the game. it's actually really smart

ok this doesn't pertain to the game but I was just looking at some of the official art because Richter's face in the opening was silly. And, uh, this is so fucking weird. None of the art looks like the other Castlevania games! Outside of the US box art (which is just taken from Rondo) it all looks different. I guess the art isn't bad but christ this weirds me out. Like, here's Maria in Rondo of Blood, and here's Maria in Dracula X. Am I the only person to notice this?
