2001
Builds upon everything that the Hedgehog was known for already, while perfecting multiple minor issues along the way. From Sonic continuing to run during the 'End of Act' screen, to the little touches of amazing, thought-through animation when Sonic is hit by a falling capsule, everything in this game obviously points back to developers who finally found what they are good at. The only downsides are the music (it is a GBA game, to be fair) and it as a whole being slightly on the slower side for a Sonic game, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.
2023
Conduit's abilities are broken, the map rotation is once again horrible, and Ranked is better but matchmaking is garbage.
Revenant Reborn is now top-tier, the Ring and Ranked is worse now, and the Charge Rifle is now based on skill.
Ballistic is literally one of the worst Legends, World's Edge getting redone is okay, Weapon Mastery is meh, the Evac Tower is busted, and map rotation of King's Canyon, World's Edge, and Olympus is the best since S1.
Everyone getting Class buffs is nice, TDM and Mixtape should've been here since the start, and the Nemesis is yet ANOTHER dweeb machine.
Catalyst isn't half bad for once, Broken Moon is by far the worst map, and stickers are a horrible decision.
2022
Vantage is yet another horrible Legend, King's Canyon is back, and the level cap increase is nice.
Newcastle is watered-down Gibby, Storm Point is a lot better, and Ranked is getting better.
Mad Maggie is somehow worse than Ash, and the Control gamemode is fun.
2021
Ash is the worst Legend in a long time, Storm Point is a huge, horrible map, and the C.A.R. is another R99 replacement.
Arenas matchmaking is still busted even with the new Ranked, Seer replaced Bloodhound, World's Edge is better, and the Rampage is yet another dweeb machine.
2021
Valkyrie is amazing, Arenas is great, Olympus is slightly worse, and the Bow is the most broken gun ever released.
Fuse is garbage, the Switch port is literal crap, King's Canyon is slightly better, and the 30-30 is crazy.
Horizon is a Wraith replacement, Olympus is a small but good map, and Tridents are fun but stupid.
Rampart is good, crafting is a nice addition, and the volt is a wannabe R99.
