A co-op playthrough that took me and a pal more than three years to finish. I've completed this a couple of times in the past, alone. It's fun, but absolutely honking compared to most other RE games. SHEVA!
Fun. Over in a few hours. Better than I expected.

Fun virtual tourism with optional historical reading. The gameplay is classic old-school AC, but the absence of a non-leathel stealth attack was a shame.
As a side note, the story was dreck and barely worth paying attention to.

Abandoned after 30 hours. It's very good, but it demands way too much of my time and patience - and I just don't have enough right now.
The difficulty spikes can be quite deflating and I'm not the biggest fan of the pacing. But there's some great gameplay and storytelling here.
Maybe I'll return one day.

Replay. The sequel to this is one of the most absurdly fun games I've ever played. It's tonally all over the shop but always entertaining; almost like Yakuza in its blend of the serious and the ridiculous. This isn't quite as nuts as the second game, but it's still an absolute blast. And dang, the visuals really hold up -- hard to beleive this is nearly a decade old.

Could've been great. I played this for context of Bloober's work ahead of their Silent Hill 2 remake.
I enjoyed the setting and some of the gameplay but the dialogue and plot are poor. The game got a lot of flak for how it handles themes of child abuse and mental health, and I agree that the ending is terribly misjudged.
A missed opportunity but not the worst as some may lead you to believe.
