this entry is just BARELY better than vlr in my opinion. i appreciate how the art has been polished but taking away the visual novel aspect and replacing it with more cinematic shots that... arent even cinematic? theyre mostly just static characters making facial expressions?? kinda disappointed me BUT i did like how complex this game was in terms of the puzzles and plot even if it made me want to smash my head against the wall sometimes. if i rated vlr as a 3/5, ztd would be like. a 3.2/5. really not a big difference
this game messed with my brain in ways i never thought imaginable i literally think i suffered brain damage doing the puzzles and figuring out the overarching plot. but all in all, i think this is an okay-ish game. i give kudos to the concept (of course i would, its a zero escape game) but i think i wouldve really appreciated if the characters werent unbearably unlikable. i also think one (or some) of the twists straight up made no sense (i think everyone who has gotten that far knows which one[s] im talking about) which really ruined the experience for me. the animations and art are very lackluster compared to the first entry but the ost goes hard so maybe that makes up for it. just a meh game in general, honestly it doesnt serve much of a purpose in the series imo. we couldve gone without it but it was still entertaining!
