With every Kingdom Hearts there comes flaws that can drive any person away from the series entirely, I feel this game was able to take every single one and somehow made it even worse, when I look back at this game, I remember the "Honeymoon phase" where I had to slowly sink in the critical flaws that shadow this game, where Nomura was trying to finish the story but push away the many charms that made the series as loved as it is was one of the many blows to this game, not to mention the much slower and floatier gameplay that can make Terra's BBS gameplay feel fast, the ways in how some bosses have extremely poor attempts to "force" you to use their many different gameplay features (not even mentioning the disney rides) ruins the flow and fun in most boss fights. That aside from the way how most worlds have little to no relevance to the overall plot, just "disney movie, but sora's there!" Was incredibly disappointing and was yet another blow to what made this series so...different. That difference barely even existing, when the entire premise of Kingdom Hearts was "Final Fantasy X Disney", what an amazing idea it was for the Final Fantasy characters to just not exist at all! Remember Radiant Garden? Well too bad! The story for Kingdom Hearts was never something extremely important or even good for the matter, but everything that happened at the end of the game felt like some sort of fan's fanfiction, and even THOSE would have had better writing, Maybe at the beginning when I first reacted to these "happy endings" I was happy, teary eyed even, but this all just makes the game and series in a whole feels as though there is no weight to any actions. For a game that took several years and engines to finally release, this game felt entirely hollow and soulless.

I used to love this game, I still do deep down, I have a lot of nostalgia for this game like many other Sonic games, but even so, coming back to this game showed how much potential was there, but it was never really put into action, the game just felt so empty, I feel as though this game if it weren't for the fact that It had to come out for Sonic's anniversary at the time, this game could have had so much more heart and soul put into it.

This game was incredibly wasted for the potential and had a huge burden to carry going off of RE2's footsteps, its hard, especially since an entirely different team had to work on this one, but there was a lot of potential here. May this be a lesson to the upcoming RE4 remake.

This game is not fun to play without friends

I still can't believe how they were able to put a smash on the 3ds AND be better than the console version. This was also the beginning of INSANE character reveals for the future, Cloud getting in smash was still one of the most insane things to happen.

I feel like this game was the split branch of our timelines, sorry fellas we got the bad ending

This game aged like milkwine

why the fuck was this game never remastered, I NEED IT TO HAVE GOOD GAMEPLAY

I only watched the game via youtube which is a crime but I cannot wait to play the remake

This game is fucked, when I first beat the game I had a lot of positive feedback for this game, but looking back, this game feels like some kind of nightmarish universe that decided to rip the life force from the trilogy and AA4 and made this disaster of a game. The only redeeming quality from this entire game was that of Blackquill and SOMEWHAT Apollo's arc, though the latter still has a lot of shit qualities that really did not need to happen, Apollo needed character, he needed backstory yes, but what they did just felt stupid in a way. That and Athena is the worst and most useless part of this entire series' and game plot. She does NOTHING, she needs help the ENTIRE game when she is held to be this sort of prodigy lore wise, she didn't even FREE SIMON, that was PHOENIX. Phoenix was also incredibly unbalanced that luckily 6 fixed but going from how he acted in 4 to this made no sense and makes 4 feel like its its own universe. Despite all this, I can still enjoy the game for what it is, but I do not see myself replaying it over most of the series. The DLC case was godly tho

This is such an underrated gem and it has no right to be, the way that even limited on something like the DS this game tops some of the most recent iterations gameplay-wise bar none, compared to every leveling system on the just handheld games, the way it feels as though you "program" Sora to be how you want him to be, like how he really is in game. I by no means think this game's story is good or even engaging in any sense, that's why I feel that giving this any positive score is a crime, but the gameplay is just TOO GOOD, I WISH this game got remastered.
