The following is an actual, verbatim quote from the Strategy Guide to Splatterhouse on StrategyWiki:
"...two Oba materialize from the floor of it on either side of you; once you have crouched down and kicked them to kill them, a third Oba will materialize from the ceiling of the tunnel and a fourth one will materialize from the floor. Once you have punched the third one once it has floated down to your level, then crouched down and kicked the fourth one to kill them, a fifth Oba will materialize from the floor behind you - and you must walk back to the left and punch it (once it has floated up to your level) to kill it before a sixth one materializes from the ceiling in front of you. Once this sixth Oba has floated down to your level, you must give it a punch, to kill it; a seventh one will then materialize from the floor behind you, and an eighth one will materialize from the ceiling in front of you. Once you've walked back to the left and punched the seventh Oba once it's floated up to your level to kill it, you must punch the eighth one once it has floated down to your level to kill it; the ninth one will then materialize from the floor, and two more will materialize from the ceiling. Once you have crouched down and kicked the ninth Oba to kill it, you must punch the tenth and eleventh ones, once they've floated down to your level, to kill them before a twelfth one materializes from the floor - and once you've crouched down and kicked this twelfth Oba to kill it, two more will materialize from the ceiling, on either side of you. You must give both of these two Oba a punch once they've floated down to your level to kill them before a fifteenth one materializes from the floor; once you've crouched down and kicked this fifteenth Oba to kill it, a sixteenth one will materialize from the ceiling. You must punch this Oba once it has floated down to your level to kill it, before two more materialize from the floor - and once you've crouched down and kicked both of these, to kill them, a nineteenth one will materialize from the ceiling. You must punch it once it floats down to your level to kill it, before a twentieth one materializes from the floor and a twenty-first one materializes from the ceiling; once you have crouched down and kicked the twentieth Oba to kill it, you must give the twenty-first one a punch once it has floated down to your level to kill it, before a twenty-second one materializes from the floor and a twenty-third one materializes from the ceiling.
