Kinda' been out of the loop of DK stuff and don't think I was even aware of this one during its original run. Not sure how it was on Wii U but this port was pretty fun! Feels like a beefier (more technical?) rendition of one of those Rayman games from around the same time frame.

Didn't even bother to finish a whole round. The night is still young and there are other Parties to attend to.

Was just going to check it out, but now I don't know I might just end up completing it :D The control is a little awkward for me, but that lack of precision is almost part of the fun and vacuuming up piles of cash and stuff feels really good, scratching some kind of itch regardless of whether I'm doing a good job of it.

It's cute. Glad I borrowed it because I can't imagine spending what Nintendo's charging for it.

Shoot... I check in on this monstrous institution every now and again, and these latest iterations are just so thoroughly not for me. And judging from these reviews, if this one is supposedly a blast of welcome fresh air... jeez, the franchise must be in some pretty dire straits.

Pretty slick. Don't have the energy for its particular precision game play just now, but good to know it's out there. (Also had no idea it was a Gun Gal spin-off until reading these comments-- apparently I don't read the back of game cases anymore lmao)

Lovely little storybook, and one which broke my brain repeatedly in the controlling of it. One of those where I felt like I was still learning how to play the game for the entire length of it, ha! And when the climactic segments suddenly veered into what I assume must be the more traditional Bayonetta experience I had a beast of a time getting a handle on those quick time event triggers. But on the whole, an enchanting play-through.

Wouldn't mind trying this one out. I recently found the Nintendo Power "Coming soon..." character poster for this release and they already gave Samus armored boobs. How zany

The cutest lil' tactical ops & bloodshed you ever did see. Entire platoons being decimated and they're practically awarding you Gym Badges 😆

Them nightmares be scramblin'. Almost more of an action puzzler. Died a LOT more than in the first game, too -- those combat segments were really loosey goosey for me.

Bisexual lighting won't save you, EA. Your time will come.

All the player models look so... vacant

I finally got caught in the Cyberpunk vortex. On PS4. The absolute worst way to play it, why did they even release it on this platform holy hell ! :D So many crashes, horrid frame-rates, glitching quests & scripted moments that fail to trigger... it even crashed during the ending credits! And yet I've been playing for so many hours. I think somewhere at the core I wanted a particular aesthetic and array of colors reflecting off rain soaked future streets on which to cruise... so, guess I mostly wanted a glorified walking simulator with the whiff of Blade Runner. The writing fluctuates from interesting to abysmal, but I like the shootin' and hackin'. The photo mode is really good, too. One day I'll have a new PC and will be able to take the actually finished 2.0 version of the game for a spin.

(edit: currently on a another play through with an attempt at a ninja/blade character build and I'm thinking that one might be unplayable-- the choppy framerates when you get in close & quick on groups of enemies with melee make control a haphazard roll of the dice.)

This thing vibrates with personality. Didn't spend the time to figure much out but I was able to play as Yukako and have Koichi assist her lmao

I did not linger long upon this Balan Wonderwall
