Dreadful. A game that has no right being a sequel to such a successful game with a perfectly final and rewarding ending . This game feels like a cash-grab, a rushed one at that, and lacks most of the charm and creative vision of the first, whilst also spitting in the face of its accomplishments by simply missing the point.
You died, "Welcome to Dark Souls". Dark Souls wasn't about being weak and dying torturous deaths over and over, it was about being optimistic enough to see the light at the end of the tunnel, no matter how long and bleak it may seem, and f*cking fighting for it.

The gameplay loop of collecting a variety of items and trying your best to make them work together with the countless amounts of synergies is really addictive. It's so filled to the brim with content and unlockables you'll be at this game for probably 1000 hours at least. That isn't even to mention that there's mod support so you could theoretically just play this forever if you really wanted to. If I had one gripe however, it's that it has become a bit too bloated with all the alternate floors and endings. I find that it's gotten a bit much trying to remember how to get to every final boss, but your mileage may vary I suppose. That said, if you don't mind a roguelite that requires a bit more luck than most, you can't go wrong with this.
