boring as shit grindfest. has some cool ideas but they're overshadowed by how tedious the gameplay is

by "grindfest" i do not mean the game is hard without grinding - rather the encounter rate is through the roof and the battles themselves are a mindless chore. you end up getting way more experience than you'll ever need just by walking from point A to point B. that's why it's a grindfest
