sweet and short game about hiking -- that's it.

2015

i love it, but i want to say that it's for of a horror walkingsim, than a pure horror game or such as Amnesia.

the story is good tho.

you better lose yourself in the fields, the forests, the dungeons, the land and despise main quest.

as far as i know this is the first walking simulator -- so thanks to it for that. you walk through nice island(?) environments and share the grief of losing significant other.

"walking sims. if the story is not good, than this is shit".
4 stars are out of respect to innovation (fight me).

i love the idea of Silent Hill, but the hype for second entrance to the series' story was too colossal. maybe if i didn't watch any movies, read any books, or never thought while studying a piece of art i would be shocked about the notorious ending, but personally i kinda like original's finish more.

non the less, it's a great survival horror and classic for a reason. everything is great about it prior to last half an hour of game: setting, puzzles, exploration and even combat, including great replayability with -- what? -- four endings.

the only thing that kills the game for me is how ridiculous is hard difficulty; if it's your first run you won't finished the game (same thirty minutes) without cheese and annoyance.

this walksim surprisingly is one of the scariest game i've played. maybe it's some sort of uncanny valley, can't put my finger on it.

but this WS is about the conflict love--family, with a few WS mechanics. story is OK. the game is enjoyable trip for an hour or two.

i enjoyed it 'cause i love hiking and the romantic idea of a job like Henry's, but i have to give a praise to the story it's intriguing and exciting before the last 15 to 20 minutes of play.
just a great walksim.

insanely overrated game, even within its series.
gameplay is dull, not that great or exciting. the praised thing about this piece of work is the story, and it's okay at best: unexpected ending make me feel nothing, because i don't care nor for characters, nor for game to be have a mild interest.

2018

first walkthrough for Bakalavr.

it's so intense, interesting and an example of great execution of mostly useless mechanic like time changing cycle; even though, i might overhype this, but the game was published in 2006. just an amazing example of avant-garde videogames.
