Grand strategy gameplay is very basic and jank. Not much personality to things. Battle gameplay is a big let down, camera's super zoomed in and it just doesn't feel satisfying.

It's very frustrating. I wish it wasn't. The graphics are also pretty uninteresting and bland and combat is pretty mindless compared to something like Cossacks..

Very satisfying bronze age / antiquity / whatever turn-based battles! The win/loss condition mechanics are kind of frustrating (you lose once you lose a % of your troops, not all of them, which makes some losses annoying and kind of nonsensical in a videogame sense)

Too dated :/ hope they remake it sometimes because it has some charm, but the controls, UI, and general user experience is too janky and frustrating due to it's age

The cartoon graphics sucks (Civ V looks better, missed opportunity for a "Civ 5 graphics pack" DLC) but otherwise SUPER fun. You'll spend hours playing without even realizing it
