A better Metal Gear Multiplayer game than actual Metal Gear Online. Super fun and funny.

Not as BS as Nioh 1 and has even more customization. I ragequit this game but it's worth a try if you're interested in it.

2017

Edgy (in a good way) weird shooter with Hotline Miami-esque gameplay. Definitely worth a try if you like Hotline Miami.

Doesn't deserve to die. Hopefully we'll see a spiritual successor sometime. Playing with bots is still tons of fun.

Will be an AWESOME game once mod support is added (which I believe is planned), but is still worth a try if you're interested in mysteries, sandboxes or immersive sims.

Gets pretty boring.. devs don't seem to care much and bloat the game with a lot of DLC. Insurgency on the Source engine was a lot better, just had less content.

Technical issues and incompetent devs but it's still a lot of fun. Definitely worth a try.

Great game but dead :(. The devs are passionate and even give away keys just to keep the game active. Hopefully this surges in popularity evnetually

TERRIBLE exploit-filled gameplay that is both too simple for professional play and too "techy" for casuals. Just get Chivalry 2.

Consider buying if it's on sale for <$5. Great premise and idea but heavily flawed.
• Very little content, you've seen basically everything after a few runs—you don't even have to get far in the game to see all the content.
• Randomly generated levels are decent but limited, with pretty much all levels being just a square with terrain raised or lowered in some spots. Occasionally a more unique level will be generated though, so it's not too bad.
• NO mod support at all! This hurts the game a lot due to just how little content there is.
• The second (and, I believe, last) tier of enemies you encounter every run are very frustrating to fight against.

Unless you're really interested in the game, you may want to just give Bannerlord a little more time to cook (this review was posted ~3/4 into 2023). Modding enhances the game but updates frequently break mods so the community is a bit disjointed, but once this game gets its bearings (whenever that happens) it'll probably be a masterpiece.. the troop commanding is really fun and it's satisfying to wipe out armies & win through good combat strategy but the gameplay is just barebones and repetitive. Multiplayer is rough, non-1v1 modes are really tedious and just.. not fun.

Fun little singleplayer/multiplayer/co-op sandbox war shooter where you start as a troop and eventually get to command your own squad of a dozen or so people with air support. It's sort of like foxhole but singleplayer and a much bigger emphasis on basic battles & squads without any of the tech or supplies stuff.

Has some issues though, there's a strange obsession with scavenging loot off your enemies and finding treasures to get points to use on weapons and stuff.. not sure why these mechanics are even present and there are luckily mods to remove the systems and replace them with better progression systems.

It could also really benefit from added depth/complexity as it really is just direct engagements between ground infantry/vehicles with little meta-game (just shifting control of the campaign map over several locations which decides where you fight and stuff, sort of like foxhole), and beyond some side objectives like sabotaging or going behind enemy lines to capture areas alone (as in just you and your squad) which are tons of fun, there isn't much to do and you could get bored easily.
