it's just so good, dude.

beat the arcade mode a couple times, played a bit online. it's good! simple combo loops that you can easily build on with some experimentation. super easy to get into, and it's free.

pretty standard beat em up. simple combo system, an alright cast of characters, with the star of game clearly being the atomiswave graphics. could see it being fun with friends for sure

i think the fact that this is the first narrative-driven game that i've been since november of last year sums up my opinion better than most things i can say about it, lol.
it's really tough at times, but i can safely say that i thoroughly enjoyed my time with chantelise. can't wait to dig into EasyGameStudio's other titles--and the other games localized by Carpe Fulgur! loved their work on this translation.

pretty nifty little portable fighter!! cute characters and simple movesets that make for a totally serviceable fighting experience on the go. gonna need a GuileWinQuote vid breaking this one down asap

the combo system has finally clicked for me and it feels insanely intuitive. played it on game pass so i don't have all the dlc characters, but even the basic characters are ridiculously fun to play. i might have to buy the full thing....

man this game will just NOT click with me. i think it's just my brain seeing that it's a guilty gear game and assuming i can do some wild shit as soon as i pick it up. i tried giving it another shot today after buying it a few months back, and it just feels like every move i input comes out five full seconds later. i know it's a good game, i do, but it's just not for me at the moment!

this game absolutely rips. definitely see myself doing another playthrough. zero complaints from me.

update: new day, bought the steam version, played a ton of combo trials. still think it's one of the most fun fighting games ever

ridiculously good fighting game hindered solely by it's shitty netcode. if this had rollback, i'd absolutely be putting in daily practice sessions.

pretty chill game honestly. endgame bosses may have had me feeling a bit burnt out (hence why i took a month long break from it lol), but the journey is absolutely worth it.
