So much fun. Controls initially take a bit of practice (facing the wrong way and trying to kick, check) but then work really well on the Switch. Explosions, bullet time, trampolines and a talking banana, bonkers and hugely entertaining. Could not work out the scoring system at all though.

A really great little Rogue lite/like (get confused with which is what). Fluid controls, cool characters, every run is useful for repairing your ship and neat little QoL touches like not having to be on exact platforms to open chests. Great fun overall.

A decent chunk of DLC that keeps the main mechanics in place, just adds a couple of tweaks.

Great, cozy little game. At one stage I had my camera, a pirate hat and a dog was following me. Delightful. A game with a good ending as well!

Bit of a team effort this (niche sentence, some of the music done by the Go Team), as I played some but equally my son and daughter played co-op together. Which, given she has only just turned four, points to a pretty intuitive control scheme as she held her own really well. The levels are neat, soundtrack is cool, some great voice-acting, an all round fun time.

Never played Pokemon Snap but assuming that is similar to this. Great little game that introduces mechanics at a good pace, allowing you to replay levels to get different photos but without it ever feeling too samey. Like the monster design as well.

First playthrough since the original PC release. Holds up incredibly well (one puzzle bug in a Sith temple aside). Interesting characters, story and battle mechanics. Just really fun to play and multiple lightsaber combat in the later stages is great.

I really, really liked the writing but unlike Cosmic Space Heroine I just couldn't click with the battle systems. Played, and liked, quite a few of the dev's games so maybe I am just done with the current format.

Overall a very good game. The key part of roaming around and fishing as great, just a couple of "get this exact fish" tasks that grated a bit as wasn't particularly clear on where/how to get them, and your movement is not the fastest over a fairly large game world. But I really great mixture of daytime chill, and nighttime panic (literally) that meant I stayed with the game until the interesting ending.

Played through whilst in the airport/on a flight. Neat little world, funny characters, decent bosses, and all round good couple of hours spent.

Complete change from when I originally played these on release. Back then, I am pretty sure I though X was fine and X-2 pretty great. This time around I really enjoyed X and the story hit way harder, guess that's just a life thing, whereas X-2 I found it hard to stick with. Just seemed disjointed. X though, liked the battle system and loved most of the story. And as a package it certainly isn't lacking in gameplay hours. I just watched the cutscenes from Final Mission, Rogue games not for me really, and the story itself seems, fine I guess.

Close to being an amazing game. I really liked the story, emotionally I feel like it hit the right tone for dealing with loss. Characters are interesting, gameplay is Pikmin-like and therefore great. I feel like it didn't need the second round of "go find things" though, just over-stretched the mechanics and travelling for me. Overall though, great.

Mostly my son played this. Very chill, swim with fishes and solve the occasional puzzle. He liked the names of them coming up in "meditation" mode, so file this one under Educational.

It's alright. Interesting battle system, one or two too many upgrade systems, convoluted story that ends abruptly and oddly, I assume with ideas of a second game that doesn't seem likely to ever see the light of day.

Played through with my Son over the course of two hours or so. We both really enjoyed it. Excellent music, looks great, combat has some thought required but also nothing full on (at our level anyway). Can't see us replaying it, which I know it was kinda designed for but very much enjoyed one playthrough.
