Finally finished the main campaign after putting it off for two years, I really enjoyed it and the challenges they presented never got stale. The overworld was also unique- I never had an issue with conserving power eggs to progress. Small fry was a cute mascot addition but I hardly found practical use for him outside of the levels designed around it's mechanics.

Online Modes:

While splatoon 3 is certainlty the definituve version of the unique shooter- it also found it to have a much higher diffiuclty curve as there is a mixture of new players and players from the past two games. Salmon run wasn't my favorite mode because of how stressful it can be, but they added fresh content consistently and I can appreciate the mode as a nice break from rank climbing. As great as this game is I wish it was saved for another system as I was personally burnt out from splatoon 2 which also rarely suffered from a content drought.

I was a fool and paid full price for this game- maybe I would have rated higher if i caught it on a sale. I appreciate it for the greek mythology components but the upgrades felt grindy and some gameplay didn't feel as fluid as I think it could have been. Also the puzzles are redundant and rarely- if at all, offered a challenge. Which is a shame when the greek context could've offered a plethora of inspiration that unfortunately doesn't get capitalized on.

The music is the first thing that drew me to this game back in 2018- seriously please go listen to samurai women NEOWWW. The plot is what you would expect from a game called 'Death game by majority' however the game certainly comes with it's own take on the genre when it boils down to the very intentional writing (which is no surprise from a VN oriented game).

I found it so fun when I first discovered the player had a direct effect on the outcome's of which characters live and which don't. Creating different routes and information you get fed throughout what has been the story so far. The gameplay mechanics were very hit or miss when it came to some of the mini-games- idk if they were delibratley difficult or if it was a skill issue on my part but it was unfortunately not consistent enough for praise.

I was def was a save-scum but the game was designed in a way that feels guilt free and replay ability in a developing/ongoing game felt conflicting at first but with the thrilling plot it only has be excited for what's to come- although please be warned the writers are scary good at writing convincing characters just to flip everything on it's head. The pace of the story so far is also a major factor that makes me recommend this game!
