after spending the last 2 weeks playing this game, i've finally finished it and i can easily say this is my personal game of the year. even when remake was incredible, i feel that rebirth goes and perfects what made remake so good. hoping that part 3 is just as good whenever it comes out.

130+ hours in and barely at the start of act 3 and i can say this is easily one of, if not the best game i've ever played. i've always enjoyed character customization in games, but this might just be the best customization i've seen in any game i've played so far. every run i find new areas or new class-specific dialogue and it just makes the game even more replayable. definitely worth playing.
really enjoyed this! started it right when all the first reviews had barely started to come out so i went in completely blind and honestly had a lot of fun. after finishing, the bad reviews were a huge surprise to me. it's not a perfect silent hill, but it's great for a game i felt that i should've paid for. i can definitely see how others wouldn't enjoy this, as the subject of mental illness and how it's written can be a bit off at times, though i still recommend a run of this. it's not perfect, but still a game worth experiencing at least once.

definitely one of the best fighting games i've played! currently going through the story mode and despite this being my first guilty gear, i actually really enjoy it. the gameplay is smooth and fast-paced, definitely on the spammy and complex side of fighting games but it's a lot of fun. definitely worth playing.
