ts3 is the peak of the sims series, and i'm gonna try to explain why briefly.

the sims 3 takes everything that the sims 2 introduced to the series and polishes them to perfection. sure, we lost cinematics and some animations but we got HUGE open worlds with this game, each of them containing so many lots (remember the tiny worlds in ts4? they do not exist in this game)

open world might sound like a small improvement but this system is what the sims series needed all this time. not having to wait for loading screens even when visiting the lot accros the road and being able to control all of the sims in the household at the same time even when each of them are at different places (one can be at home, others can be at somewhere else within the borders of the city) is so immersive that they make the open world system the primary reason for me to prefer ts3 over the other sims games. ts2 and ts4, mostly ts4 feels like a home simulation instead of a town simulation. i rarely leave my houses in the other 2 games. so, switching back to ts3 from ts4 was the best decision for me, considering my playstyle in the sims series.

also, ts3 has a feature called create a style where you can select the color of your wigs, clothing, furniture etc. from a color wheel. you can also adjust its darkness etc. so you have unlimited options of colors, whereas the sims 4 limits you to swatches, completely removing what the sims 3 introcuded to the series. create a style lets you to combine every piece of furniture or clothing without a struggle, which i think is one of the main problems of the sims 4.

the sims 3 has the best of expansion packs too! you can get 6 occults in ONE pack whereas you have to pay for werewolves, vampires and spellcasters individually in ts4. you also get ts4's high school pack, parenthood pack, toddlers pack, wedding pack, kids pack and growing together pack in ts3's generations pack. there are many other examples like that. you of course get the carbon copies of ts3 packs in ts4, but they are not as polished and they do not contain as much features either.

gameplay wise, the sims 3 has so many cool gameplay features like being able to ride a bicycle, give your infant or toddler a ride with a stroller, drive cars, swim in the sea only with the BASE GAME and many, many more that you cannot see in the sims 4. story progression actually worked properly in the sims 3 too. even though the sims 4 has a lot of features too, the sims 3 also has most of them, more polished versions of them even.

one more thing that makes the sims 3 superior is that your sims actually has personalities now. you can choose between 60+ traits and give 5 of them in the base game. number of traits to choose between increases to 99 if you have all the expansions, which is a horrendous number of options. being able to choose 5 traits instead of 3 like in ts4 is also great.

a great thing about your sims is that their ai actually works this time! and the relationships between them build much slower than in the sims 4, where you can get married in like 5 minutes. yes, the sims is not meant to be a complicated game but games still require challenge and ts3 has the balance. it's not as hard as ts2 but not as easy as ts4 either. this applies to the needs system as well. your sims' needs don't hit zero in like 3 hours like it was in sims 2 but it also doesn't take them 2 days to feel sleepy like it is in the sims 4.

there are many other things to list such as lifetime wishes being better than the other games, whims actually making sense and being fun, more fun careers, more variety of lots to go to, being able to edit worlds and create your own worlds and many more. sure, the sims 3 has its own flaws like lagging and such but these problems can be overseen easily since the actual gameplay is SOOOO much fun. the sims 3 is the best one in the series to me, and also one of the best simulation games ever made. it was ambitious and was made with passion and this is something that you can't see in the newer games in the industry.

cute, but got kind of boring after like six hours. but since it still has the cuteness and charm of acnl, it deserves a 3.5 imo.
would be much better as a cheaper dlc or a free update or something like that though.

truly one of the greatest visual novels ever released if not the best. it has a memorable, lively, unique and lovable cast of characters (though miles edgeworth is obviously the one who shines the most), which is not something we usually encounter in a visual novel. the cases gradually got better and better and the last case was a literal masterpiece. the fourth case was my favorite though since the character development in this is just so heartwarming. the dialogue in this game never ever bored me, i did not skip ONE dialogue in this game and this is the first time this happened to me in a visual novel. everything is just so well written, the story is always exciting and makes you curious about what will happen in the next testimony and you also always wonder how the things will turn out while investigating. the soundtrack and the character sprites are also very well done and both of these play a big role in this game's charm.
to summarize all of the written above, phoenix wright: ace attorney has the most fun you can have in a visual novel and is overall a phenomenal video game.

pretty fun and addicting until you get to mike's part. all you have to do here is to blow into your mic which was absolutely embarrassing to do in class honestly.

not as good as new leaf but still a really polished and detailed game. while it misses some great elements from its predecessors, it's still so much fun and cozy. you may like it better than the other entries in the series if you are into the customization side of the game since in the older games you weren't as free in terms of customization.

it has some fun and creative levels but other than that, it's pretty bland and boring since it's literally designed for 2 year olds to play. i don't know how this got rated this high. also, yoshi is one annoying bitch.

one of the worst 3ds games that i've played. i couldn't care less about it.

extremely repetitive and not polished at all.

good soundtrack, awesome character design, fun gameplay

çok çok güzel ve ilk animal crossing'im ama ds'in kısıtlamalarından nasibini almış, talihsiz bir oyun

Dear Baldur's Gate 3,

To be honest, I didn't care about this game from the day it was released until the day it won Game of the Year. It didn't catch my interest; I had never played a CRPG before, and I didn't think it would be my kind of game. I found isometric RPGs boring, and I thought I would struggle with them, and Baldur's Gate 3 didn't seem any different. However, BG3 turned out to be a game that changed my perspective on the genre completely. I bought the game at full price the morning after it won GotY, and I believe I got every penny's worth. Baldur's Gate 3, far from just being the best game of 2023, stands as one of the greatest games ever.

Despite its scattered nature, the game feels cohesive, with a perfectly written and satisfying story, incredibly deep and diverse companions with unique personalities, engaging combat that challenges your brains, and puzzles that add color to the game with a sweet difficulty level. This game, oozing effort from every corner and finely polished, makes you feel like you're playing a real masterpiece. It has even sparked my interest in CRPGs, which is a significant achievement for someone who used to dislike the genre.

For me, the strongest aspect of the game is its story and characters. I shed tears at many points during the game, especially during the character stories. I have never played a game that cared so much about character stories and gave such importance to its characters. Each character has long quests, perfect romance scenes, and incredibly emotional (or uplifting) fantastic endings. The story is really epic, with every scene giving you goosebumps. It succeeds in making the player care for it, leaving them unable to resist wanting more. I was satisfied with every character's ending in my playthrough, except for Gale. I don't remember leaving a game with such satisfaction in the story and characters; Baldur's Gate 3 holds the top spot for me in this regard. (':

In terms of gameplay, the game uses a turn-based system based on the D&D 5th edition rules. I generally don't like turn-based combat, but the D&D gameplay has always appealed to me. I found myself drawn into the game in every aspect of its gameplay. It's a game where you genuinely have to plan your approach to the enemy, and you can't just rush in blindly. Despite being someone who prefers ease, I enjoyed this aspect. Every fight was very satisfying for me, and the superb boss battles contributed to that. And what about the music during those boss fights? I could sit there listening for hours, especially during the battle with Raphael.

The fantastic music I mentioned contributes significantly to the game's presentation. From camera angles to facial expressions, from sounds to voice actors' performances, everything is flawless and adds impact to the game's scenes. Nightsong's salvation, Astarian's infamous scene... it contains many moments that I'm sure will stay in my mind for a long time. Comparing this to other recent games, it's evident how much effort and success Larian has put into this. The dialogues are engaging, and while some sentences may be incredibly long, it's worth enduring for memorable moments and enjoyable scenes. It's not a problem. It's a beautiful way to showcase the liveliness of the characters and the game world.

By the way, the game's additional content is incredibly extensive. I forgot to mention this, so let me touch on it briefly. With side activities, the game offers over 100 hours of gameplay, and these side activities are not the typical boring ones you find in Ubisoft-style games. They have been worked on as much as the main quests, providing fun and engaging activities that feel just as rewarding and necessary for a complete experience.

I won't make this review too long. I just finished the game, and I'm incredibly emotional. I believe this game is one of the best ever. Before playing BG3, my heart was set on Zelda for GotY, but in the packed 85 hours I spent in the game, I understood that BG3 truly deserves this award. It's the first time in a long time that I've liked a game this much. I thank Larian for reviving my slowly dying "interest in games"... it seems the problem wasn't with me but with the terrible games that are being released. (':

In short, if you're on the fence about getting the game, don't hesitate. You're in for an epic and emotional adventure with remarkable stories.
