QuincyButter finished Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage!
In an era with so many 3D platform adventurer/collect-a-thon games during the N64 and PS1 generation, Spyro 2 does an excellent job in dominating in that field while also being a worthy sequel in its own franchise.

The environments of the many worlds you visit ooze with quintessential PS1 low poly vibes that perfectly couple with the fantasy/magic aesthetic the series does so well portraying in a visually pleasing way.

The various mini games scattered in each world with the collectible "Orbs" as prizes provide varying degrees of satisfying challenge without ever breaching past the point of unfair challenging or intentionally broken for difficulty's sake (a philosophy I wish Rare could have followed when they designed their many mini games for Donkey Kong 64).

Much like the first game, the soundtrack contains a few bops but truthfully the themes for any given level kind of all mesh all together. Despite the levels themselves feeling diverse in their environment and theme, the accompanying tune for any given level never felt like it truly belonged to the world and that you could juggle any of the themes and put them in different worlds and they would feel similarly placed. On one hand its commendable how consistent the "Spyro Music Style" is throughout the game, on the other, some diversity in instruments and tempo would still have been an improvement in my opinion.

Also Tom Kenny voices a charming scientist npc that is present in multiple levels, although I do not think this is his most famous voice acting role for something that came out in 1999.
