Ezio has a solid arc and we spend enough time with him to get a really nuanced, cool character! There is a reason everyone likes him.

Edward has growth, agency, a unique outlook for a character in the series, and compelling writing! I like him almost as much as Ezio.

I like Arno's personality as sort of a headstrong, sarcastic, and erratic assassin who is barely tolerating everyone he interacts with. His only real motivation is being in love with Elise, unfortunately, so he ends up feeling much more one-dimensional than he needed to.

Kassandra is basically just brash all the time and not much more. Fun to play even if she isn't super interesting or compelling.

Altair doesn't have much personality, even with the extra attention he gets outside of his game.

Haytham doesn't get much development and is a bit too much of a generic sociopathic villain for me to really like him much. Rogue solidifies his position for me.

Connor is boring and depressed without ever really becoming interesting.

Shay is insufferable, has an annoying catch phrase, and is infinitely tractable.
