Xeno games

takahashi is god

craziest story, goat characters, goat mech battles, character battles are more basic but eons more consistent/fast/fun than its predecessors, terrible pacing
best visuals, best sound, best message, awesome story, good pacing, fun but busted gameplay
best gameplay and side content, some really good characters, great at encompassing overall franchise lore with its own story, amazing ost, weird pacing
best pacing by a country mile, with amazing gameplay to boot, characters bursting with personality albeit lacking in writing, most tightly written story and fantastic in its own right but not as ambitious as every other game, nutted at the ending, amazing ost
has a fantastic variant of the base game's combat, some really good characters, supplemental story adds a lot to the overall lore, might have my favorite final boss in the franchise, awesome music arranges, not sure to place this above or below the first 2 saga games
mixed bag but only huge downsides are ES combat and terrible pacing. great sidequests, best xs soundtrack, it's short, very worth playing overall
one REALLY bad dungeon and combat is not consistent but overall still great, some of the best scenes in the series are here and it sets up even better sequels. terrible pacing like the sequels too
lacks the visuals and sound from the ps2 versions and i dont like the story changes. a well made and fun early ds game despite those flaws and the production value hitting an all time franchise low
best side content in the series and goat exploration. awful main quest. some enemy placement and general combat balance is finicky as well.
