I don't hear people talk about how complex the character writing in 0 is. 0's ensemble is pretty great.

Didn't fully replay this, I already did a huge in-depth replay back in December and I don't feel like my thoughts will change. 3 is awesome.

My switch-up on this game is crazy.

Very OK! Had a lot of fun but a thought in the back of my head kept on asking the question: Do I like this based on its own merits or do I like this because of Yakuza 1? The answer was mostly the latter.

Ishin! has such an underrated story. Shits the bed right at the very end but that doesn't ruin what comes before. What is ruined is the gameplay changes made in the remake. Unreal Engine makes most of the bosses sponge-y walls that you don't really play around with, you just kinda chip away at them. Not fun! Also the character models can look really egregious outside of cutscenes, smaller aesthetic changes also bring this down.

The most general Yakuza game. Re-experiencing 2's story was great, even if some of its key moments are ruined by RGG removing the mood and grit of the original.
