Extraction Point is passed like the best fear fps and as a very intense shooter of novel encounters for the series, yet half of the maps involve mid range combat the guns are not suited for, it turns into some jank cover fps with a lot of imprecise weapons (the ones from the previous game are suited for closer combat). The original game isn't perfect either, bullet time makes enemies too slow to react and all encounters the same, the only alternative to slowmo in order to minimize damage while out of cover is spamming medkits, in general i tend to barely use any of this to give replica enemies time to do cool shit while i suffer few hits, at least in the original game where the gameplay kinda works lol

l welcome fps like this and ultrakill which are not boomer shooters and yet are still speedy as they trade a sense of strategy for a kind of combat that is snappier and stupidly aggressive compared to every other shooter out there
In that sense we are past some 90s fps revival
I think titanfall movement is the only thing people register about this but you never really need it, also development needs a direction

An action fps attempt, satirized all it could about shooters of that time and made combat something more meaningful and addictive to the protagonist than alcohol, the writing didn't work for me at any level. Pretty outdated, you are not going to see enemy behaviour comparable to those from devil may cry games in a fps before doom 2016, the kind of enemy bulletstorm makes fun of can only rush or shoot at regular intervals.
