back to the metroidvania for this one and it SLAPPED. really polished and you can tell this is where bombservice hit their stride

i think i actually liked momodora 2 slightly more (i'm just a metroidvania enjoyer) but the level of polish in this one was really impressive. gorgeous pixel art

yeah what do you say about it besides that its one of those rare gaming masterpieces that just makes you remember why you love videogame

such an enormous improvement over the original momodora! and only a year later! i love cave story DNA so much!!

also when credits show the enemy names as if they're characters in a movie ... mwah, mwah

you can definitely feel the age and inexperience but there's something so impossibly charming to me about a game that wears its cave story influences on its sleeve 🤝
