The truth is I haven't been enjoying this dlc content at all. It has reached a point where playing it felt like a task (not an enjoyable one) and that's why it has taken me a while to finish the main story. This story and characters definitely aren't for me. I still enjoy a lot doing the usual Pokémon stuff (catching new mons, completing the Blueberry dex, doing the Blueberry Quests, the double battles format) and that was my motivation to reach the end.
This videogame (or rather this story) is a canonic event of mine. I could say infinite things about it, but then this review would be infinite too, so I'll just say this: Ellie and Joe'ls bond and journey is just something inimitable. If you can find the way, you have to play it and experience it no matter what. Also, thanks to both Part I and II I've been lucky enough to know Ashley Johnson, and I'll always be grateful for that. Luckily, there are good people in the game and HBO show's cast (Ashley, Laura Bailey, Bella Ramsey, Pedro...) and employees, but unfortunately the writer and creative director Neil Druckmann has turned out to be a bad person.
I'm aware of the many problems that came with the release of the game, but this videogame deserved better. GOTY 2023 for me personally (and believe me, I love BG3). It is a sequel that contributes a lot to its predecessor Fallen Order and to the Star Wars Universe in general. It is longer in duration and there's so much more to explore than in Fallen Order, and Cal's gameplay mechanics are progressive regarding the first game without losing meaning within the plot and also adds new fun mechanics. Mantis crew live in my mind rent free (Cal and Merrin, what a duo you are). Also, it has one of the coolest sequences I've ever played in a videogame.
