definitely not a roguelike but still kinda fun and gay so idk

visually gorgeous game insanely good soundtrack, this games initial announcement was why i first purchased my switch. needless to say the wait was long, and the game is great, but i cant help but feel disappointed in some regards. feels like this entry lost some of the snappiness that previous SMT games had, but gameplay wise theres still a ton for me to love here. i took my sweet sweet time w this and i still feel like i need to think about it more

Very competent switch port of a fun mobile game, no microtransactions and just casual fun

fun start to the series but relatively light on exposition as well as just having so much bs like the mastery system

heavy nostalgia bias w this one since I remember playing it when it was brand new but damn it really does hold up pretty well. and as far as i know this is the only bakugan game that follows the rules of the physical game 😭

nostalgic fav and holds up quite well

really enjoyed this as an rpg fan trying to get into fighting games but idk i still think the fighting genre isnt for me personally. this was a fun game though

not done w the game but i think i squeezed out most of the main content. despite being a huge fan of the senran kagura series i really didn't expect to like this one a lot or take it too seriously but wow did this remind me why i love fanservice games in the first place. just plain fucking fun and absolutely ridiculous, few genres are as abundantly creative as fanservice games imho

noooo dont use joker mechanics ur so sexy haha :(

Logging this as my completion of version 1 but wow what a fun time! I played this entirely solo and rlly didnt feel like i was missing out, definitely felt like just a regular dragon quest game but online. the battle system is really nice in the fact its just ATB and super flexible with party formations. the standard mmo trio is not here and experimentation w classes and parties is a part of the fun

idk i tried for awhile but i just couldnt wrap my head around it, ended up dropping it in favor of dqx and a couple other games on my backlog. Still wanna give this another earnest go sometime in the future though

Honestly quite a bit shorter than I expected, and especially so when compared to other contemporary roguelikes this game has little staying power, but still an insane amount of fun. Focus on story and a fun franchise-focused experience rather than something providing long term play with unique runs
