another axed classic mobile game banished to consoles, worth your time tho

repost but i feel like its worth it: fuck hopfrog. seeing as he outsourced so much of the game silently, underpaid them and then blamed them for his failings w the game so i dont feel bad for saying that. game is fun but has some critical performance issues and offers nothing late game

also worth noting that hopfrog banned one of his discord mods for 'mental illness' when they came out as trans so yeah :) fuck him

definitely a fun an addicting game but i cant help but feel disgusted at something basically made through unpaid labor under a shitty guy claiming all credit

poopoo peepee i hate this game

too grindy and has no respect for player time and simultaneously expects you to commit to it
also everything is purposely obfuscated and vague so you "figure it out for yourself" but I was looking at the wiki 99% of the time

Very fun classic rail shooter, with a sweet and pleasant aesthetic. While GalGun: Double Peace definitely improves on this games formula, when you see where the series started it's surprising how good it already was. The biggest standouts for me by far are the girls, I found every girl compelling and their dialogue was very cute. Although it takes maybe just an hour or two to clear a route, you really get attached to the characters! The endings are very sweet and cheesy but uplifting. One thing I've heard a lot of people bitch about with this game is the music, personally I think this has the best soundtrack of ANY GalGun to date. The redone opening theme is absolutely perfect, and the ending songs are really catchy too! Aside from the main campaign, each route's True Ending unlocks their campaign in Doki-Doki Carnival. Doki-Doki Carnival is a second campaign that takes place after the initial game and features Ekoro! I loved the setup and story for this, as well as getting to learn some of the NPC girls better. However, the Doki-Doki mode in Returns is probably my only complaint. Doki-Doki takes a much longer time to finish than the Doki-Doki mode in Double Peace. All in all a very cute, aesthetically consistent, classic rail shooter. You know exactly what you're getting and you'll know if this is for you or not.

marked as shelved bc of the 'noah' routes yet to be translated that im gonna read

story was really interesting but its pretty much senran kagura but bad :/ gameplay isnt as smooth or satisfying, stages last way too long and the characters all kinda suck. very one note without any attempt to make them more interesting. also rinka is ugly

Definitely dont know what I expected but it's a pretty alright dungeon crawler. I thought the maps seemed cool for being unique but some of them are so large and open its a huge pain in the ass to explore/fill out your map. Really meh characters but I liked Estra, her outfits/loadout being based on seasons was really interesting too. Overall a lot of interesting ideas in this game just not done very well

(hanzo, hebijo and yumi arcs clear. probably gonna go back and do free missions and grind for trophies) a game for big brains who like cute anime girls, fanservice, musou gameplay and subversion of expectations. rlly good story, all the arcs were unique (hebijo especially having an amazing last stage)

probably my fav musou ive ever played

Idea Factory and Compile Hearts magnum opus tbqfh. The story is incredibly deep, and the way this serves as a QoL remake with new content also serving as a sequel tying the overarching narrative together is really well done. Really fun dungeons with good puzzles, the remake cut down quite a bit of the dungeons (with in game story reasons of course) and made them a lot more palatable

Went into this expecting nothing and ended up rlly enjoying it sdfkjh the framerate isnt ideal but its still super fun. Great characters and good story uwu

Had some really intense difficulty spikes and a lot of times I did need to grind, but overall I did enjoy this game despite the frustration uwu It offers a lot of dif Neptunia experiences (I'm personally a fan of the sisters/CPU candidates so I really enjoyed their stories as well as Uzume) and the story being split up into arcs was nice. I like that this game and Neptunia Victory do the Nepstation 'recap' thing after every chapter. It gives me Sakura Wars vibes and I love it. Combat is also reminiscent of Xenosaga for me which is what initially sparked my interest in the series. Neptunia is a series about just having fun with the games mechanics and not expecting a challenge or taking it too seriously, however it rlly seems like they wanted to give a different experience w this one in regards to difficulty. Definitely gonna play this some more and maybe even finish it again on NG+ but I just wanted to review/mark this as complete so I can say I finished it lol

literally half an animal crossing game yet everyone eats it up

rlly rlly rlly good story but holy fuck do i hate the battle system

v western take on eroge, not a fan of the art nor is it my fav in the genre but its enjoyable
